Dali

• Salvador Dali was born on May 11, 1904 and died on January 23, 1989. He was a prominent Spanish surrealist painter who is best known for his painting entitled, The Persistence of Memory. He was highly imaginative and also liked to partake in unusual activities and behavior. His crazy-like behavior sometimes got more attention than his paintings did. I have shown you one of his works entitled, Women with the Head of Roses.

Fernando Botero

• Fernando Botero Angulo was born in April 19, 1932. He is a Colombian figurative artist, with his own figurative style, known as “Boterismo”. Botero depicts women, men, daily life, characters, historical events, animals, and more with exaggerated and disproportionate features. Many find his way of painting scary, but more see the aesthetic qualities in it.
