On Palm Sunday 2019 we received
blessed palms to commemorate the
Lord’s triumphal entrance into
Jerusalem and to begin our celebration
of Holy Week. By now the palm has dried up.
We ask you to bring the palm to church and place
it in the baskets at the entrances of the church
during the week. We will burn the palm to
prepare the ashes with which we will be signed
on Ash Wednesday, February 26.

El Domingo de Ramos recibimos palmas
bendecidas para conmemorar la entrada triunfal
del Señor a Jerusalén y empezamos así la
celebración de la Semana Santa. Ya esas palmas
están secas. Le pedimos que traiga esas palmas a
la iglesia durante los próximos fines de semana y
las coloque en las canastas en las entradas de la
iglesia. Estas palmas serán quemadas para
preparar las cenizas con las cuales seremos
marcados el Miércoles de Ceniza, 26 de Febrero.

BAPTISM - (English) The process for infant baptism and children under 7 years old is as follows:
Parent(s) call the office to request an appointment. In that appointment the whole process will be explained.
Godparents must be practicing Catholics, be over 16 years of age, and have the sacraments of Initiation and live their
lives according to the teachings of Christ and His Church.
Godparents can be single. If the person has a partner, he/she must be married by the Church. Free union or civil
marriage is not enough.
Proof of Confirmation and Marriage by the Church. The godparents must bring their Confirmation, and Church
Marriage certificate (if they are married).
When all relevant documents are received the dates will be given to attend the Baptismal Parent Class, the Presentation
in the Church, the class for parents and godparents and the date of the baptism.
BAUTISMO - (Español) El proceso para el bautismo de infantes y niños menores de siete años es el siguiente:
Los padres llaman a la oficina para solicitar una cita. En esa cita se explicará todo el proceso.
Los padrinos deben ser católicos practicantes, tener más de 16 años y tener los sacramentos de iniciación y vivir sus
vidas de acuerdo con las enseñanzas de Cristo y su Iglesia.
Los padrinos pueden ser solteros. Si la persona tiene pareja, debe estar casado(a) por la Iglesia. La unión libre o el
matrimonio civil no es suficiente.
Prueba de Confirmación y Matrimonio de la Iglesia. Los padrinos deben traer su certificado de Confirmación y el
certificado de matrimonio de la iglesia (si es casado(a).
Cuando se reciban todos los documentos relevantes, se darán las fechas para asistir a la Clase Bautismales para los
Padres, la Presentación en la Iglesia, la clase para padres y padrinos y la fecha del bautismo.

Gala Dinner 2019 Report:
We successfully completed the celebration of our
2019 Gala Dinner. We are very grateful to Central
Catholic High School for letting us to use their
facilities. This allowed us to have 600 people
between guests and volunteers. We sold 583 tickets
and collected $23,380. The groups, the chefs, the
cooking team and all the volunteers worked very
hard cooking, decorating, cleaning, serving and made
this event a success. The parish community
participated and had a good time, while supporting
the parish.
We had $4,441 in expenses. Thanks to the
generosity of the Kitchen Team that donated one
cabinet oven and all utensils and warmers needed,
($4,147) the Gala Dinner left a profit of $18,939.
These funds were used to pay some of the parish
bills. Thank you very much for your support.
The kitchen team raises funds sailing "pastelitos".
Let's continue buying “pastelitos” every weekend so
we support our Parish.
Income: $23,380.00
Expense: $ 4,440.79
PROFIT: $18,939.21
Reporte sobre Cena de Gala 2019:
Culminamos exitosamente la celebración de la Cena
de Gala 2019. Muy agradecidos con Central Catholic
High School por dejarnos usar sus instalaciones, lo
cual nos permitió tener 600 personas entre invitados
y voluntarios. Vendimos 583 boletas y recogimos
$23,380. Los grupos, chefs, el equipo de cocina y
todos los voluntarios trabajaron arduamente
cocinando, decorando, limpiando y sirviendo e
hicieron de este evento todo un éxito. La comunidad
parroquial participó y compartió un tiempo muy
agradable a la vez que apoyaron a su parroquia.
Tuvimos $4,441 de gastos. Gracias a la generosidad
del Grupo de Cocina que donó un horno y todos los
utensilios y calentadores que se necesitaron, por
valor de $4,147, la Cena de Gala dejó una ganancia
de $18,939. Estos fondos se usaron para pagar
algunas las cuentas de la parroquia. Muchas gracias
por su apoyo.
El equipo de cocina reúne fondos con la venta de
“pastelitos”. Continuemos comprando pastelitos
cada semana, así también apoyamos a nuestra
parroquia.
