The BSME group will monitor the Infonet backbone and take corrective action toprovide optimal performance to it cutomer! "ill proactivel# monitor$ a thenetwork %watchdog& to 'nd and report on network vulnerabilitie withinInfonet( )rame *ela#$ +!,-$ T.M$ Optical and ATM network! BSME will provideManagement with report that outline ite$ circuit and other vulnerablecondition!

Ideal /ondition:

The typical network health management scenario requires management of allWANs, LANs, switches, routers, and other networking hardware and technologythat comprise the network portion of the infrastructure. Network Healthanagement !olution empowers network managers to take control of networkperformance and ensure "uality of !er#ice across the network portion of theinfrastructure.

Network managers are responsi$le for ensuring the a#aila$ility and performanceof the network. They face a num$er of challenges including managing a di#ersecollection of de#ices from numerous #endors, isolating the source of performancedegradation throughout the network, minimi%ing recurring WAN e&penses, andpro#iding consistent reporting across their heterogeneous network infrastructure.
