PRONÓSTICO DE

PRECIPITACIONES PARA EL

TRIMESTRE ENERO – MARZO

2011

En gran parte del territorio peruano, se prevé, para el trimestre Enero – Marzo, que las lluvias tendrán un comportamiento dentro de su variabilidad climática (color blanco); destacándose algunas zonas con totales de lluvias superiores a lo esperado (color verde), con probabilidad de ocurrencia mayor al 50%, específicamente en los departamentos de Tumbes, Cajamarca, Lambayeque, La Libertad, Ancash, Huánuco, zonas altas de Lima, Junín, Huancavelica, Ayacucho, Apurímac, Cusco, Arequipa, Puno, Amazonas, San Martín, Loreto y Madre de Dios.

Por otro lado, el norte (Piura) y el sur (Tacna) se esperan presencia de lluvias de Normal a Inferior (color mostaza)

El SENAMHI informa que en los próximos días se incrementarán las precipitaciones de moderada a fuerte intensidad en la zona central y sur del país.

Las precipitaciones serán de tipo lluvias granizo, nieve y aguanieve en las zonas alto andinas y hacia la selva sur y central se presentarán chubascos acompañados de tormentas eléctricas aisladas y ráfagas de viento que podría alcanzar los 40 km/h.

La persistencia de estas lluvias podría generar posibles desbordes en los ríos en la vertiente oriental y podrían incrementar los ríos y activar las quebradas secas de la vertiente occidental.
