C H U N G A R A R E V I S T A D E A N T R O P O L O G Í A C H I L E N A (ISSN 0716-1182), fundada en noviembre de 1972, es publicada por el Departamento de Antropología de la Universidad de Tarapacá, Arica-Chile, en un volu-men con cuatro números al año. Su objetivo principal es difundir estudios originales, empíricos o teóricos, en antro-pología social o cultural, arqueología, bioarqueología, conservación, etnobotánica, etnohistoria, geografía, historia, lingüística, museología, paleoecología, semiótica, textilería, zooarqueología, referidos a la región andina de Sudamérica u otras zonas afines.

Se publican artículos científicos, reportes monográficos, ensayos, comentarios bibliográficos, críticas de libros, reflexiones, noticias y cartas al editor, revisiones de artículos publicados por la propia revista y debates de temas es-pecíficos, en español o inglés. Los manuscritos pueden enviarse en cualquier momento y se publican en orden de aceptación. El Texto debe estar a doble espacio en tamaño carta y 2,5 cm de márgenes, con una extensión no ma-yor a 7.200 palabras. Deben enviar sus manuscritos a editor.produccion@chungara.cl en archivos separados elec-trónicos: texto, figuras y tablas. Los manuscritos son evaluados por el Comité Editorial y al menos tres revisores ex-ternos. Las fechas de recepción y aceptación se indican en la primera página impresa de los manuscritos publicados. Para preparar sus manuscritos, los autores deben ceñirse rigurosamente a las pautas editoriales de Chungara que pueden solicitarse a las direcciones postales o electrónicas que se indican o en la página web www.chungara.cl. C H U N G A R A R E V I S T A D E A N T R O P O L O G Í A C H I L E N A (The Journal of Chilean Anthropology, ISSN 0716-1182) was founded in 1972 and is printed in four issues per volume annually by the Departamento de Antropología, Universidad de Tarapacá, Arica-Chile. It publishes original articles, both theoretical and empirical, in the fields of archaeology, cultural or social anthropology, bioarchaeology, conservation of cultural materials, ethnobotany, ethnohistory, geography, geology, geoarchaeology, history, linguistics, paleoecology, semiotics, textile studies, zooarchaeology, and other linked fields dealing with the Andean region of South America and other related areas of the world.

Scientific articles, reports, bibliographic reviews and comments on papers are published in the journal, both in Span-ish and English. Manuscripts may be submitted in electronic form and sent at any time and will be printed in the order of acceptance. Authors must send their manuscripts with text in upper and lower case letters, double spaced, letter size with 2.5 cm margins, and no more than 7,200 words. The Editorial Committee and at least three peer reviewers critically analyze the manuscripts submitted. The dates of receipt and acceptance of the manuscript are indicated on the first page of the papers published. To prepare their manuscripts the authors must follow the editorial policies of Chungara, that may be requested from the editorial office at the address given above.
