net A two-dimensional pattern of a three-dimensional figure.

number line A line that represents numbers as points.

perimeter The distance around a polygon.

period Each group of three digits on a place-value chart.

perpendicular lines Lines that meet or cross each other to form right angles.

pictograph A graph that uses picture symbols to compare data.

place value The value given to a digit by its position in a number.
