A HUGE SWIMMING POOL COMPLEX WITH A WAVE-SHAPED ROOF

Las singulares ondulaciones de las mareas dan la forma a este enorme coliseo acuático de formas orgánicas, que se resguarda de las inclemencias con una cubierta superior simulando una ola gigante. En su interior una piscina olímpica de ocho carriles brindan a los participante un entorno ideal para practicar la natación al más alto nivel.

The sea’s unique oscillating tides were the inspiration for this huge organically-shaped swimming pool complex, protected from the weather by a roof that simulates a giant wave. Inside, an eight-lane Olympic swimming pool offers swimmers perfect competition-standard facilities.

The building acts as a bridge between the city, whe-re it is located, and its natural surroundings. From its irregular-shaped gardens to the curved grandstand, it combines to form an idyllic setting. To emphasize the unique use of shape, the stadium can be circled, offering new visions from every angle.

La ciudad enmarca este edificio que funciona como un puente hacia la naturaleza. Desde los jardines de formas irregulares hasta las gradas curvadas, representa todo un espacio idílico. Potenciando la singularidad de las formas permite circulaciones al-rededor del estadio ofreciendo una visión nueva en cada uno de sus ángulos.

El deporte es siempre un juego, y el juego de formas es también el motivo prin-cipal de este conjunto de espacios de recreo. El edificio-ola, como núcleo cen-tral de las instalaciones, contiene una piscina olímpica realizada con piezas ARK+POOL en formato oficial12,5x25, en porcelánico esmaltado.Los bordes desbordantes zurich y multitud de piezas especiales cumplen con éxito las cotas técnicas más altas. Todo el conjunto crean un entorno perfectamente diseñado para desempeñar competiciones deportivas en disciplinas olímpicas.

Sport always involves interplay, and interplay among shapes is the main concept behind this leisure complex. The wave dome, which forms the central core of the complex, contains an Olympic swimming pool made with glazed ARK+POOL porcelain tiles in an approved 12.5x25cm format. The Zurich-system overflow edging tiles and multitude of special tile pieces that were used all meet the highest technical standards. The outcome is a perfectly designed pool for sports competi-tions in Olympic disciplines.

UN EDIFICIO DUAL DONDE SE MEZCLAN ESPACIOS, ALTURAS Y DEPORTES.

A DUAL-PURPOSE BUILDING COMBINING A VARIETY OF AREAS, HEIGHTS AND SPORTS ACTIVITIES.

Este edificio de dos plantas, se divide en planta “agua” y planta “aire”. La idea es generar espacios en un entorno de volúmenes puros e integrados en el entorno a base de grandes vidrieras.La planta baja se usa como gimnasio, sauna y duchas, ocupan-do un espacio destacado la piscina semi-olímpica que funciona como eje central. La planta superior, por su parte, enmarca una campo multiusos, que también se puede convertir en cancha de baloncesto o campo de fútbol.

This two-storey building is divided into one level for water and another for air. The idea was to create well-differentiated areas in a building that stands out for its pure volumetric design, inte-grated into the surrounding environment by means of big glass windows.The ground floor features a gymnasium, sauna and shower area, with a semi-Olympic swimming pool occupying pride of place and acting as a central nucleus. The top floor contains a multi-purpose sports court that can be converted into a basketball court or indoor football pitch.

La piscina del centro deportivo urbano queda resguardada, permitiendo así que las tempe-raturas sean constantes. Permitiendo practicar la natación en diversas épocas del año, sin importar las inclemencias del tiempo.

La dualidad agua/aire genera un edificio multidisciplinar, que aglutina diversos espacios, ofreciendo la oportunidad de practicar varias actividades en un única estructura.

The swimming pool of this inner-city sports centre is sheltered to ensure constant tempera-tures, so that it can be used all year round without being affected by bad weather.

The dual underlying concept of water and air has led to the creation of a multidisciplinary building with several different areas, where differing sports activities can be played in one single building.

En la plata baja se sitúa la piscina como elemento cental ocupando la mitad del edi-ficio. Esta planta cuenta también con unos vestuarios, sauna y una zona de spinning.

Swimming pool takes pride of place on ground floor, occupying half the building. On the same floor, there are also changing rooms, a sauna and spin studio.

La piscina semi-olímpica inserta su vaso por debajo de la línea de tierra, generando un plano continuo en la planta baja. El piso superior sobresale ligeramente de la planta inferior, produciendo dos volúmenes de di-ferentes escalas.

The basin of the semi-Olympic pool is situa-ted below ground level to create a conti-nuous horizontal plane. Upper floor juts out slightly above the lower floor, creating a building with two different volumes of diffe-ring sizes.

Top floor can be entered through a side door. The multi-purpose sports court can be used for a variety of different team sports, like basketball or indoor football.

La planta superior tiene un acceso lateral exterior. El campo multiusos permite desarro-llar diversos y variados deportes de equipo, como baloncesto o futbol sala.

RESORT & SPA PROJECTNADANDO SOBRE EL RIO · A RIVER POOL

El singular entorno geográfico de este hotel le hace disponer de una singular piscina que se inscribe dentro del cauce del río. Desde el edificio se ha dispuesto de una pasarela que permite un cómodo acceso a la zona de agua. Una piscina blanca, con borde desbordante que incorpora fuentes de luz RGB, que permiten el cambio de color del agua, generando una variación de efectos durante las diferentes horas del día.

Thanks to this hotel’s unique setting, it has an inimitable swimming pool set in the actual riverbed. A gangway leads from the building, offering easy access to the pool. By incorporating RGB lights in the overflow gutter of the white pool, the colour of the water can be changed to create different effects at different times of day.

La pavimentación perimetral del entorno del edificio pertenece a la colección ARK+URBAN y el mobiliario urbano es ARK+ELEMENTS, el borde de la piscina es ARK+POOL y el vaso esta revestido con porcelánico ARK+TECHNIC. El resultado es un concepto de entorno puro que fusiona la naturaleza con la vanguardia de un modo singular, generando transiciones fluidas entre la zona de tierra y la zona de agua.

The paving round the building is from the ARK+URBAN collection, while the ARK+ELEMENTS collection was chosen for the urban furniture. ARK+POOL tiles were used for the edge of the pool, and the basin is tiled in ARK+TECHNIC porcelain tiles. The result is an area of singular purity, where avant-garde design concepts blend in with the natural environment to unique effect, with a fluid transition between on-land areas and the pool and river.

The large stretch of surface water formed by the river and pool create an amplified visual effect. The spa hotel is located on the banks of a river flanked by trees. The ceiling is the sky, open to enjoyment during the day and at night in a setting of peace and tranquillity. The pool has been tiled in white, and only the reflection of the water colours the inside of the basin. It also has a temperature regu-lator, so that bathers can have a cold dip in the river and warmer swim in the pool.

El hotel-spa esta ubicado en una zona cos-tera rodeado por una arboleda. El techo es el cielo del que se puede disfrutar tanto de día como de noche, en un entorno de calma y relax. La piscina está revestida de color blanco y solo el reflejo del agua colo-rea el interior del vaso. Además la piscina cuenta con un controlador de temperatura que permite baños fríos en el río y baños cálidos en la piscina

MIRROR BORN FROM THE RIVER AND THE SWIMMING POOL CONTRIBUTE TO GIVE US A NEWENVIRONMENT WIDE VISION

The idea was to locate the hotel’s aquatic facilities in a liquid setting, separated from any urban area. The entire swimming pool is submerged and the only separation between the pool and the river is the gutter of the pool. The underlying design concept was the creation of pure-looking volumes, against a natural backdrop like woods, rivers or the sky.

La idea es enmarcar la zona de agua del edificio dentro de un entorno líquido, aislado de toda zona urbana. Toda las piscina esta sumergida y la única línea de separación entre las masas de agua es el propio canal de la piscina. El concepto es generar volúmenes puros y situarlos dentro de entornos naturales como son el bosque, el río y el cielo.
