The parable of the two sons

Disobedient obedience and obedient disobedience

Matthew 21: 28-32

Jesus tells a parable to a group of religious leaders.

He wants them to figure out which one of the sons

did his father's will. Was it the one who said yes

but never showed up? Or was it the one who said

no but later repented and carried out the father's

wishes. Sometimes people can deceive us by smooth

talk. But God is never deceived. Like Jesus, our lives

can be a "yes" to God the Father in word and

deed. Prayer: Lord Jesus, we thank for the word

that has enabled us to understand better the will of the Father. May your Spirit enlighten

our actions and grant us the strength to practice that which your Word has revealed to

us. May we, like Mary, your mother, not only listen to but also practise the Word. You who

live and reign with the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit forever and ever. Amen.

La parábola de los dos hijos - ¡Desobediencia obediente y obediencia desobediente!

Mateo 21,28-32

Jesús cuenta una parábola a un grupo de líderes religiosos. El quiere que ellos se den

cuenta cuál de los hijos hizo la voluntad del padre. ¿Fue el que dijo sí, pero nunca se

apareció? ¿Fue el que dijo no, pero que más tarde se arrepintió e hizo lo que el padre

quería. Algunas personas pueden engañarnos con conversaciones suaves. Pero Dios nunca

nos engaña. Al igual que la de Jesús, nuestras vidas pueden ser un "sí" a Dios, el Padre

en palabras y obras. Oración: Señor Jesús, te damos gracias por tu Palabra que nos ha

hecho ver mejor la voluntad del Padre. Haz que tu Espíritu ilumine nuestras acciones y

nos comunique la fuerza para seguir lo que Tu Palabra nos ha hecho ver. Haz que no-

sotros como María, tu Madre, podamos no sólo escuchar, sino también poner en práctica

la Palabra. Tú que vives y reinas con el Padre en la unidad del Espíritu Santo por todos

los siglos de los siglos. Amén

Return the stubs and money of the Grand Raffle to the rectory at your earliest convenience.

The school will be closed on October 9, 10, & 13 (Thursday, Friday & Monday)-There are no classes on these days.

There are no Religious Educa on classes on October 10 & 11 (Friday & Saturday). And also no Confirma on classes on Monday, Oct 13.

Any other parish group or ac vity scheduled to meet from Tuesday, Oct 7 thru Monday, Oct 13 in any of the church’s facili es will have to cancel their mee ng.

Everything resumes with the regular schedule on Tuesday, Oct. 14.

SET UP TIME:

Star ng Wednesday, October 8 evening, electricians, master carpenters, or anyone wishing to help set up the FIESTA STANDS

are needed.

Todo grupo que tenga algún encuentro (reunión) en las facilidades de la iglesia entre los días del martes 7 al lunes 13 de octubre deberá cancelar su reunión.

El martes 14 de octubre regresamos al horario de costumbre.

Se necesitan electricistas, carpinteros, y cualquier otro hombre con mar llo a la mano para que nos ayude a preparar los puestos de

la fiesta. Vengan el miércoles, 8 de octubre por la tarde o por la noche.
