    New Engine 2 is a major code rewrite introduced initially in12.2(11)T, and now present in all 12.3 and later trains. Engine 2is faster and consumes less memory.

    Cisco IOS IP SLAs is an efficient way for Equant toprovide end-to-end reporting for each class ofservice. Not only does it enable round-trip delaymeasurement, but it also measures packet loss rate

    and jitter. For us, the fact that Cisco IOS IP SLAs isembedded in Cisco IOS Software and does notrequire any additional hardware to be deployed to

    support such features was a critical benefit.
