• The Cavanna SLIM flow-wrapping machine is an example of an innovative ethos coupled to customer demands for advanced, high-yield machines

• Allen-Bradley® products from Rockwell Automation to manage its primary functions

• Allen-Bradley ControlLogix® or CompactLogix® Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) as automation and motion solutions

• Studio 5000 as programming software

• New Kinetix 5500 Ethernet/IP platform

• FactoryTalk View ME platform

• All these benefits in combination increase overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), which ultimately lowers the total cost of ownership (TCO)

• We work together with Rockwell Automation to improve our machines performances and accessibility, and to enhance their flexibility and efficiency

OEE – Overall Equipment Effectiveness(general efficiency of equipment): it is the rate between what a machine theoretically could produce and what actually did.It takes in account the most common and important causes of loss of productivity, subdivided into the following three main categories:

Availability = Effective producing time / Planned producing time; Performance = Number of pieces really produced / Number of producible pieces; Quality = Number of non-defective produced pieces / Number of produced pieces.

T.C.O.-Total cost of ownership: is an economic approach used to calculate all costs of the life-cycle equipment from purchase to dismantling (purchase, installation, operation, maintenance and dismissing).

Besides one of our clients in Netherlands, we have installed a system of cameras and sensors to monitor the operations and collect the OEE data.
