Brand History

2006: BWA Water Additives taken private via acquisition from Chemtura.

A new name and stronger team reflects a better company with an increased focus on meeting

water treatment needs of customers:

Scale Prevention Corrosion Inhibition Microbiological Control

BWA Water Additives is the leading global provider of specialty water solutions for industrial water treatment,

desalination, pulp and paper, oilfield, and other process industries. BWAs antiscalant, corrosion inhibitor and

microbiocide technologies and services provide customers with the essential elements required to meet todays water

management challenges.

What we do

Scale Prevention

The maleic, phosphinocarboxylic and phosphonocarboxylic acid technology based products out

perform polyacrylates and acrylic copolymers.

POCA polymers offer a unique performance profile that cannot be matched by homopolymers or

copolymers.

Results: Efficient heat transfer and decreases in energy costs.

Corrosion Inhibition

Corrosion control products = all organic or low level zinc formulations that lower, or even

eliminate, the use of inorganic phosphate.

Results: Increases the usable life time and reliability of the plant and machinery while reducing

maintenance expenses.

Microbiological Control

Non-oxidizing and oxidizing products = Control of bacteria, fungi and algae.

Results: Improved heat transfer, reduced corrosion, and fewer health hazards, e.g. Legionella.

industrial water applications, from commercial building to heavy

industrial cooling systems, oilfield applications, industrial and

institutional cleaning, and process water applications such as pulp

and paper manufacturing, mining and sugar processing.

Oilfield & Energy

BWA's Bellasol antiscalant products are used in a number of

applications, including squeeze treatments, topside production

systems and seawater injection. Our Bellacide products are non-

oxidizing biocides which have been designed to solve a wide

range of microbiological problems encountered in the oil and

energy industries.

Membrane Desalination Flocon Membrane Solutions is a comprehensive range of products

and support for successful, smooth operation of membrane systems.

Six elements include: Membrane Cleaners, Antiscalants,

Microbiological Control Agents, Flodose, Technical Support,

Thermal Desalination Belgard range of antiscalants and Belite antifoams have been an

industry standard since 1973. Innovative research & development

has expanded the product range to include antifoulants based on

enhanced maleate technology.
