Few traditional affordable housing development organizations have specific Veterans programs.

Base towns have different needs. Importance of Veterans service partnerships. Marketing to low and moderate income Veterans. Veterans highly represented in

populations and neighborhoods we seek to serve.

Piece by Piece - VeteransWith support from The Home Depot Foundation, the Piece by Piece initiative has increased its scope to include focus on Veterans and how the foreclosure crisis is impacting them.

Piece by Piece – Veterans

Build connections between Veterans groups and housing sector. Atlanta Regional Housing Forum Increase service by traditional housing development organizations. Connect Veterans service providers with housing counselors.

Utilization of HUD-VASH voucher and other resources.

Encouraging REO donations to meet Veterans’ housing needs.
