PASTOR’S COLUMN Dear Parish Family, members, a endees, guest and seekers, Think Locally and Act Globally! MERRY CHRISTMAS! Last year during Advent, I heard a Christmas song I had never heard before: "I believe in Father Christmas", sung by Greg Lake. I looked up the lyrics and couldn't believe the last verse: THE CHRISTMAS YOU GET YOU DESERVE!!!!!! I have to agree with that verse. Some of my past Christmas celebra ons were both sad and lonely and that was because of the choices I had made. Others were power-ful events. What kind of Christmas do you deserve this year? When I was young I would always bring my cuts and bruises to my mother, who would KISS them to make them be er. Christmas is the season in which we REMEM-BER God kissing humanity to make us ALL radically different! God's kiss is called Je-sus! REGARDLESS of your past, you can CHOOSE NOW, to have the best Christmas ever, by allowing God to KISS you! The ENTIRE parish is about to go on retreat! Usually when we have a parish Mission not everyone can go. Beginning this year we are going to experience: "A BUSY PAR-ISH RETREAT " . The same message will be preached at ALL the Masses in English & Spanish. The retreat will consist of 3 Homilies on 3 different Weekends, over several months. Everyone will be given HOMEWORK to do, by yourselves and with your fami-lies. Since this is the first me doing this together, I will be the Retreat Director. Our Habit of STUDY, is helping me coordinate this PARISH WIDE RE-TREAT. We will soon be asking ALL of our different Ministries to become involved. Our Busy Parish Retreat is going to be based on this book. EVERY Adult and Teenager who wants their own copy will receive one. The BOOK is either in English or Spanish. On the weekend of January 7 & 8, we will be passing out forms for you to get your FREE COPY. Please begin to pray now for the success of our, "Busy Parish Retreat". El año pasado durante Adviento, escuche una canción de Navidad que nunca había oído antes: “Creo en el Padre Navidad”, por Greg Lake. Me fije en la lírica y no po-día creer el úl mo verso: ¡¡¡LAS NAVIDADES QUE TE CONSIGUES SON LAS QUE TE MERECES!!! Creo que tengo que estar de acuerdo con este verso. Algunas de mis celebraciones de Navidad pasadas fueron tristes y solitarias y eso fue por las elecciones que yo hice. Otras fueron eventos poderosos. ¿Qué clase de Navidades te mereces este año? Cuando era niño siempre acudía a mi mamá con todas mis pequeñas heridas, que con un BESO, ella las hacía desaparecer. Navidad es la estación en la que RECOR-DAMOS a Dios besando a la humanidad para hacernos a TODOS radicalmente dife-rentes. ¡El beso de Dios se llama Jesús! ¡SIN IMPORTAR tu pasado, PUEDES ESCO-GER AHORA tener la mejor Navidad de tu vida, dejando que Dios te BESE! Bap sm: To have a child bap zed at St. Clement, parents are expected to be registered, ac ve par cipants in their worshipping community of faith by regular a endance at Sunday Mass. Reconcilia on (Confession): The Sacrament of Penance is an experience of the gi of God's boundless mercy. Not only does it free us from our sins but it also challenges us to have the same kind of compassion and forgiveness for those who sin against us. The Sacrament of Reconcilia on is offered on Tuesdays from 6pm-7pm and Wednesdays from 8:30am-9am. Eucharist: Eucharist is celebrated daily in the Chapel. Little People’s Ministry (LPM) is an experience that provide a praying, singing and learning environment about Jesus and His Church and it is for 1 and 2 year old children. It pro-vides an environment where children can “Pray, Not Play” allowing parents the opportunity to fully participate in the Mass. It is offered during the 10:30 am Mass. Children are always welcome in Mass, but sometimes cir-cumstances occur where childminding may be helpful to parents attending Mass. Our goal is to lead the child in prayer, so parents can pray as a com-munity.

WHAT IS LITTLE PEOPLE’S MINISTRY? Que es el Ministerio los Pequeñines

El Ministerio Los Pequeñines (MLP) es una experiencia que facilitará un am-biente de oración, canto y aprendizaje sobre Jesús y Su iglesia y es para niños de 1 y 2 años de edad. Ellos estarán en un ambiente donde puedan “Orar, No Jugar”, de manera que los padres, que lo deseen, puedan tranquilamen-te par cipar en la misa sin ninguna interrupción. Se ofrecerá durante la misa de las 8:30am; los niños siempre serán bienvenidos a la misa, pero en algunas circunstancias es bueno ayu-dar a los padres a asis r a la misa con tranquilidad. Nuestro obje vo es guiar al niño en la oración, de manera que los padres puedan orar en comu-nidad.

Retrea & Mission Ministry

The Retreat & Mission Ministry would like to wish you a very blessed Christmas season.

We have been busy developing the Retreat & Mission Ministry. The ministry has hosted a Confirma on Retreat and a First Reconcilia on retreat. We are currently preparing for a 2nd year Confirma on Retreat, First Communion and the CareFest. ST. CLEMENT YOUTH MINISTRY Ministerio de Jóvenes de San Clemente

St. Clement Youth Ministry responds to the social and spiritual needs of our parish and community teens by providing fun programs, ac vi es, and events that will lead teenagers to a rela onship with God through Jesus Christ and His Church. These are some of our 2015-2016 Youth Ministry high-lights! We a ended the Steubenville Youth Conference in Orlando. Marched with our brother and sister in Christ in the March for Life in St. Augus ne. Our All Saints Dance was great! The youth got to dress as their favorite saint. We also were able to do a Youth Rally for the first me, the focus of it was to offered opportuni es throughout the rally for the youth to share their faith with others. I want to take this me to wish everyone a Merry Christ-mas and a Happy New Year! Thank you Parish families of St. Clement for your support. The dona ons, me you shared, and the helping hand you gave to the Youth Min-istry. It means a lot to us! We pray in turn that you’ll be blessed by the loving hand of God.

El Ministerio de Jóvenes de San Clemente responde a las necesidades sociales y espirituales de nuestros adoles-centes de la parroquia y la comunidad , proporcionando programas de diversion, ac vidades y eventos que con-ducen a los adolescentes a una relación con Dios por medio de Jesucristo y de su Iglesia .

¡Éstos son algunos de nuestros puntos culminantes 2015-2016 de Ministerio de la Jóvenes! Asis mos a la Confe-rencia Juvenil de Steubenville en Orlando. Marchamos con nuestro hermano y hermana en Cristo en la Marcha por la Vida en San Agus n. Nuestro baile de All Saints fue todo un exito! Los jóvenes se vis eron como su santo favorito. También pudimos hacer un Youth Rally por pri-mera vez, el enfoque fue ofrecer oportunidades durante el rally para que los jóvenes compartan su fe con los de-más.

Quiero tomar este empo para desear a todos una Feliz Navidad y un Feliz Año Nuevo! Gracias familias parro-quial de San Clemente por su apoyo. Las donaciones, el
