My Chemical Romance Fue una banda estadounidense de rock, formada en el año 2001 en el Estado de Nueva Jersey, e integrada en la mayor parte de su historia por el vocalista Gerard Way, el bajista Mikey Way y los guitarristas Ray Toro y Frank Iero. En marzo dEL2013, la banda anunció su separación.

 

 

Su estilo musical ha sido asociado a los géneros post-hardcore, punk rock, pop punk y emo. Entre 

las influencias que han citado están diversos artistas como Black Flag, Jawbreaker, Morrissey, 

Queen, MC5 o Teenage Fanclub. La crítica, asimismo, ha dicho que la esencia de la banda recae en 

el drama,5 y que durante su carrera produjeron «un rock and roll de los más viscerales y 

dramáticos en la historia reciente.

La discografía de My Chemical Romance, banda estadounidense de rock, consiste en cuatro álbumes de estudio, un álbum recopilatorio de grandes éxitos, una caja recopilatoria, cuatro álbumes de video, seis EP y veintiséis sencillos. Después de su formación, la banda firmó con Eyeball Records y en 2002 lanzó su álbum debut, I brought you my bullets, you brought me your love. Un año después, la banda firmó con Reprise Records y en 2004 publicó su segundo disco, Three cheers for sweet revenge. Este, que desprendió los exitosos sencillos “I'm not okay (I promise)”, “Helena” y “The ghost of you”, tuvo mucho más éxito que su antecesor, y vendió más de dos millones de copias mundialmente. En 2006, la banda compuso The Black Parade, álbum del que se desprendieron los sencillos “Welcome to the Black Parade”, “Famous last words”, “I don't love you” y “Teenagers”. Finalmente, en noviembre de 2010 publicaron su cuarto álbum de estudio, llamado Danger days: the true lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, cuyos principales sencillos fueron “Na na na (na na na na na na na na na)”, “SING” y “Planetary (GO!)”. En marzo de 2013, la banda anunció su separación.
