Guía de instalación

Cómo instalar el hardware1. Presiona y empuja la cubierta delantera para retirarla. NOTA: No abras la cubierta delantera violentamente, para evitar que la cubierta del-antera sea dañada.

2. Inserta la tarjeta SIM/USIM en la ranura para tarjetas SIM/USIM.Introduce la tarjeta SIM/USIM con el área de contacto de metal orientada hacia abajo y, a continuación, empuja la tarjeta, como se indica a continuación.IMPORTANTE: el dispositivo no es compatible con tarjetas SIM Micro/Nano ni con ningún tipo de tarjetas SIM no estándar. A fin de evitar que el dispositivo se dañe, no uses esas tarjetas ni soportes de tarjetas.

Conoce tu dispositivoEl dispositivo admite datos, SMS y servicios de llamadas a través de la red telefónica móvil, lo que te permite comunicarte en cualquier momento y lugar.

La siguiente ilustración es solo una referencia. Puede que el producto real sea diferente.

3. Inserta la tarjeta microSD en la ranura correspondiente, como se indica a con-tinuación.

NOTA:Este modem solo permite el uso de tarjetas microSD

El logotipo microSD es una marca comercial de SD-3C, LLC.

4. Alinea la cubierta delantera sobre el cuerpo del modem y presiónala para trabarla en su lugar.

Cómo conectar el módem a la computadora1. Introduce el conector USB en el puerto USB y asegúrate de que se introduzca firmemente.

2. El SO detectará y reconocerá automáticamente el hardware nuevo e iniciará el asistente de instalación.

Cómo instalar el software La instalación puede presentar diferencias, según el sistema operativo. Sigue las indicaciones del sistema durante la operación.

ParaWindowsEl sistema iniciará automáticamente el proceso de instalación del software al momento de conectar el módem a la computadora. Sigue las indicaciones del sistema para completar la instalación del software.NOTA:Si el sistema no inicia la instalación automáticamente, puedes ejecutar el programa de instalación desde la ruta Mi PC > D-Com 3G.Para MacEl sistema mostrará automáticamente un icono del CD-ROM de D-Com 3G en el escritorio, al momento de conectar el módem a la computadora. Haz doble clic en el paquete de software de instalación del D-Com 3G y sigue las indicaciones del sistema para completar la instalación del software.

Cómo retirar el módem de la computadoraCierra el software de la aplicación para poder desconectar el módem USB de manera segura.

Cómo usar el módem A continuación se muestran los iconos que permiten la operación rápida de las siguientes funciones:

Conexión Conecta a Internet.

Estadísticas Muestra la información de uso de datos.

SMSHaz clic en el botón Nuevo mensaje , ingresa el número del

destinatario y el contenido del mensaje, y haz clic en el botón Send para enviar el mensaje nuevo.

Revisión del balance Revisa tu cuenta. Establece la configuración del módem USB.

Soporte Consulta el soporte para obtener asistencia.

NOTA: Para administrar el módem, puedes hacer clic en los botones Archivo, Herramientas, Ayuda.También puedes hacer clic en el botón Operación para realizar una llamada.

Advertencias y avisos

Para el propietario• Algunos dispositivos electrónicos son susceptibles a las interferencias electromagnéticas que envía el

módem si no están protegidos adecuadamente, como los sistemas electrónicos de vehículos. Si es nec-esario, consulte al fabricante del dispositivo antes de utilizar el módem.

• Es posible que el uso de laptops y PC de escritorio en conjunto con el módem interfiera con dispositivos médicos, como marcapasos y ayudas auditivas. Cuando estén encendidos, manténgalos siempre a más de 20 centímetros de distancia de dichos dispositivos médicos. Si es necesario, apague el módem. En caso de duda, consulte a su médico o al fabricante del dispositivo médico antes de usar el módem.

• Tenga en cuenta los límites de uso del módem en lugares como bodegas de combustible o fábricas químicas, donde se procesan gases o productos explosivos. Si es necesario, apague el módem.

• Se prohíbe el uso de dispositivos de transmisión electrónica en aeronaves, gasolineras y hospitales. Ob-serve y obedezca todas las señales de advertencia y apague el módem en estas condiciones.

• No toque el área de la antena interna si no es necesario. De lo contrario, esto afectará el rendimiento del módem.

• Mantenga el módem lejos del alcance de niños pequeños. El módem puede provocar daños si se usa como un juguete.

• No toque las piezas metálicas del módem, a fin de evitar quemaduras durante el funcionamiento del mismo.

Cómo usar el módem USB• Use accesorios originales o autorizados. El uso de accesorios no autorizados puede afectar el rendimiento

del módem e infringir reglamentaciones nacionales relacionadas con los terminales de telecomunicaciones.• Evite usar el módem cerca o dentro de estructuras metálicas o instalaciones que puedan emitir ondas

electromagnéticas. De lo contrario, esto afectará la recepción de la señal.• El módem no es a prueba de agua. Manténgalo seco y guárdelo en un lugar fresco y lejos de la luz del sol.

• En caso de un cambio brusco de temperatura, no utilice el módem inmediatamente. Esto producirá rocío dentro y fuera del módem, por lo que no debe usarlo hasta que esté seco.

• Manipule el módem con cuidado. No lo flexione, golpee ni deje caer. De lo contrario, el módem sufrirá daños.

• Únicamente profesionales y técnicos cualificados pueden desarmarlo y efectuar reparaciones.• Se recomienda un rango de temperaturas de operación de -10 °C a 60 °C y de humedad de 5% a 95%.

Garantía limitada• Esta garantía no se aplica a defectos o errores del producto causados por:

i. Desgaste razonable.ii. Incumplimiento de las instrucciones o procedimientos de instalación, operación o mantenimiento de

Bitel por parte del usuario final.iii. Mal manejo, uso, instalación, desarmado, almacenamiento, reparaciones u operación indebidos o

negligentes por parte del usuario final.

iv. Modificaciones o reparaciones no efectuadas por Bitel o personas certificadas por Bitel.v. Fallas eléctricas, sobretensiones, incendios, inundaciones, accidentes, acciones de terceros u otros

eventos fuera del control razonable de Bitel.vi. Uso de productos de terceros o uso en conjunto con productos de terceros, siempre y cuando este

uso combinado provoque los defectos.vii. Otras causas fuera del rango del uso normal para el que se diseñó el producto.

En caso de que ocurra alguna de las situaciones anteriormente mencionadas, el usuario final no tendrá dere-cho a rechazar o devolver el producto, ni a recibir un reembolso por parte de Bitel.• Esta garantía es el único recurso del usuario final y la única responsabilidad de Bitel respecto a elemen-

tos defectuosos o que no estén en conformidad, y se otorga en lugar de cualquier otra garantía, ya sea expresa, implícita o legal, incluyendo, sin carácter limitativo, las garantías implícitas de comercialización e idoneidad para un propósito específico, a menos que las disposiciones obligatorias de la ley así lo re-quieran.

Installing Hardware1. Press and push the front cover and remove it. NOTE:Do not open the front cover rudely so as to avoid the damage of the front cover.

2. Insert the SIM/USIM card into the SIM/USIM card slot.Insert the SIM/USIM card with the metal contact area facing downwards into the slot, and then push the SIM/USIM card as far as possible, as shown below.IMPORTANT: Your device does not support Micro/Nano SIM card or any other nonstan-dard SIM cards. To avoid device damage, please do not use them or any card holders.

3. Insert your microSD card into the microSD card slot, as shown below. NOTE:

This microSD logo is a trademark of SD-3C, LLC.

4. Put the front cover flatly upon the body of modem and push the front cover to lock the cover in its place.

Connecting the Modem to Your PC1. Plug the USB connector into the USB port and make sure it is tightly inserted.

2. The OS automatically detects and recognizes new hardware and starts the installation wizard.

Installing Software On different operating systems, the installation procedures may be difference. Follow the system prompts dur-ing operation.

For Windows OSYour system will start the software setup process automatically when you connect the modem to your com-puter correctly. Follow the system prompts to complete the software installation.NOTE:If the system does not launch installation automatically, you can run the installation program in path of My Computer > D-Com 3G.For Mac OSThe system will automatically display a D-Com 3G CD-ROM icon on the desktop, when you connect the mo-dem to your computer correctly. Double click the installation software package in the D-Com 3G, and follow the system prompts to complete the software installation.

Removing the Modem From Your PCPlease close the application software, and then you can pull out the USB Modem safely.

How to Use Your Modem Various icons are presented to enable quick operation of the following functions:

Connection Connect to the Internet.

Statistic Show the data usage information.

SMSClick the New message button, enter recipient’s number and con-

tent, and then click the Send button to send new message.

Check balance Check and view your account.Set the configuration for the USB modem.

Support View the support to get help.

NOTE:You can click and view the File, Tools, Help button to manage your modem.You can also click and view Operation button to make a phone call.

Warning and Notice

To the owner• Some electronic devices are susceptible to electromagnetic interference sent by modem if inadequately

shielded, such as the electronic system of vehicles. Please consult the manufacturer of the device before using the modem if necessary.

• Operating of laptop and desktop PCs and the modem may interfere with medical devices like hearing aids and pacemakers. Please always keep them more than 20 centimeters away from such medical devices when they are turned on. Turn the modem off if necessary. Consult a physician or the manufacturer of the medical device before using the modem.

• Be aware of the usage limitation when using a modem at places such as oil warehouses or chemical factories, where there are explosive gases or explosive products being processed. Turn off your modem if required.

• The use of electronic transmitting devices is forbidden in aircrafts, at petrol stations and in hospitals. Please observe and obey all warning signs and switch off your modem in these conditions.

• Do not touch the inner antenna area if not necessary. Otherwise it will affect your modem’s performance.• Store the modem out of the reach of little children. The modem may cause injury if used as a toy.• Do not touch the metallic parts of the modem so as to avoid a burn, when the modem is working.

Using Your USB Modem• Please use original accessories or accessories that are authorized. Using any unauthorized accessories

may affect your modem’s performance, and violate related national regulations about telecom terminals.• Avoid using the modem near or inside metallic structures or establishments that can emit electromagnetic

waves. Otherwise it may influence signal reception.

• The modem is not waterproof. Please keep it dry and store in a shady and cool place.• Do not use the modem immediately after a sudden temperature change. In such case, it will produce dew

inside and outside the modem, so don’t use it until it becomes dry.• Handle the modem carefully. Do not drop, bend or strike it. Otherwise the modem will be damaged.• No dismantling by non-professionals and only qualified technicians can undertake repair work.• Operating temperature range of -10°C ~ +60°C and humidity range of 5% ~ 95% are recommended.

Limited Warranty• This warranty does not apply to defects or errors in the Product caused by:

i. Reasonable abrasion.ii. End User’s failure to follow Bitel’s installation, operation or maintenance instructions or procedures.iii. End User’s mishandling, misuse, negligence, or improper installation, disassembly, storage, servicing

or operation of the Product.

iv. Modifications or repairs not made by Bitel or a Bitel-certified individual.v. Power failures, surges, fire, flood, accidents, actions of third parties or other events outside Bitel’s

reasonable control.vi. Usage of third-party products, or usage in conjunction with third-party products provided that such

defects are due to the combined usage.vii. Any other cause beyond the range of normal usage intended for the Product.

End User shall have no right to reject or return the Product, or receive a refund for the Product from Bitel un-der the above-mentioned situations.• This warranty is End User’s sole remedy and Bitel’s sole liability for defective or nonconforming items,

and is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed, implied or statutory, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, unless otherwise required under the mandatory provisions of the law.

Limitation of LiabilityBitel shall not be liable for any loss of profits or indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages resulting from or arising out of or in connection with using of this product, whether or not Bitel had been advised, knew or should have known of the possibility of such damages, including, but not limited to lost profits, interruption of business, cost of capital, cost of substitute facilities or product, or any downtime cost.
