Public foundation set up in the year 2002 by the Ministry of Health for the Andalusian Regional Government.

Double mission: Facilitate and promote the development and

comprehensive training of health professionals. Development and innovation of new technologies applied

to the health sector.

Centres in Malaga, Granada and Seville.

Multidisciplinary team of 62 professionals and more than 700 Andalusian Public Health System collaborators.


IAVANTE Foundation

Robotic, virtual and standardised simulation, video-analysis, e-training.

Almost 13,000 students trained in 2008.

Objectives of Living Lab Andalusia Health

• Development of the APHS innovative culture.• Favourable conditions for multidisciplinary collaboration.• Cultivate the health sector’s potential.• Broaden enterprises’ perspective to implement their

technological developments.• Integration of scientific and technological knowledge, of

business intelligence and social resources.• Provide intermediary services and support for the

conversion of ideas into products and services.• Promote creativity and the scientific vocation of the sector.• Contribute to the sustainability of the APHS with public

and private economic convergence.

• The concept of Living Labs in Europe is widely extended and accepted as an ideal tool for product verification.

• Living Lab Andalusia Health became a member of ENoLL (European Network of Living Labs) in the 3rd wave.

• ENoLL is about to become an association. LLAH is a member of the Board and will coordinate the Health area network.
