ABSTRACTThis article analyses the fiscal challenges of population aging in Ecuador, primarily on the healthcare and pension sectors. The methodology used disentangles the expenditure into a demographic component and another corresponding to social expansion. Using different fertility scenarios, it is concluded that the process of population aging, by itself, will not have a significant effect on total expenditure and healthcare expenditure in the short, medium and long term. However, results show that demographic change will be the dominant force of the pressures on the pension spending in the medium and long term. Regarding the needs of social expansion in the country, it is concluded that these will promote increases in total expenditure, as well as in the healthcare and pension sectors; however, these will play a fundamental role in the estimated increase in healthcare expenditures. These results, together with the progressive increase of the elderly population, mainly exacerbate the need for reforms in the current pension system. On the one hand, it is recommended to expand its coverage, creating jobs and encouraging the creation of microenterprise activities. On the other hand, it is recommended to rise the social security retirement age and to evaluate the implementation of a hybrid retirement scheme, where pay-as-you-go (current) and capital-based pension systems interact.

ABSTRACTThe current model, the fast fashion, based on low prices and the increase in sales and the diversity of styles, has reduced the lifespan of the different garments. This model has generated a strong social and environmental impact. In this way, unsafe working conditions, non-existent trade union rights and low wages as well as river pollution and deposition of tons of used clothing, are hidden behind the low-priced pieces of clothes. On the contrary, the concept of slow fashion was born as a socially and environmentally responsible alternative. Without being a model contrary to the fast fashion, this approach would advocate moving from the paradigm of quantity to that of quality, increasing the lifespan of garments.
The objective of this work is to analyse the preferences of consumers towards slow fashion through a questionnaire. Results obtained show that women and those consumers who usually acquire clothes through the Internet are the ones who are more willing to pay a higher price for this type of products. Results also show that consumers with a higher level of income claim that they would not feel socially accepted with this type of clothing. It also highlights the degree of awareness among respondents valuing local production, giving less importance to aspects such as exclusivity and emphasizing the respect for the environment with this type of fashion.

ABSTRACTThe research is based on the triple helix d’Etzkowitz model where the university does an essential role in its interaction with the company and the public sector to promote a society based on innovation and knowledge. The European Council in its 2020 strategy puts universities at the center of entrepreneurship for the future creation of new innovative companies. In this framework, the research focalizes on the sociodemographic factors that affect the entrepreneurial credibility of university students. The entrepreneurial credibility is the perception of desirability and feasibility that the student must undertake in the near future (Krueger and Brazeal model 1994). The research is based on a sample of 529 Spanish students from the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia. In the construct phase the items of the dependent variable were being made according to the orientation of the entrepreneurial attitude of Robinson (1991) and to the study of Singh and DeNoble (2003). The definitive questionnaire gets the validity and consistency requirements for the dependent variable (entrepreneurial credibility), and for the independent dichotomous variables (socio-demographic factors). The conclusions of the research establish that the condition of social and family burden directly affects the female gender, reducing their entrepreneurial credibility. And instead, it increases entrepreneurial credibility when the student has a family business history, previous working experience, and has done formation in business creation courses.

ABSTRACTEntrepreneurship and gender as a field of study has experienced an unprecedented increase in recent decades. This work focuses on university students. Specifically, are analyzed the elements that influence the entrepreneurial intention (EI) of women and how these elements vary depending on the group analyzed. This has been done from the research of Liñán and Chen (2009) on the modeling of the appropriate variables to measure EI. Also, following a Likert Scale of five positions, a series of questions were formulated to know the personal attitude towards entrepreneurship (EA), the control of perceived behavior (CCP), EI, entrepreneurship skills (CA) and transversal competences of students (CTA). The sample has been of 585 students belonging to the degrees of Economics Degree and Labor Relations and Human Resources. The results obtained establish that both in one case and in the other, the students showed a positive influence of the AE and CCP. Regarding the IE model, no influence was detected in the former, but for the latter. It would be relevant to extend this study to society as a whole, which includes both women with higher education and other training levels and ages.

ABSTRACTCustomer Relationship Management (CRM) is one of the business technology solutions that has aroused more interest in the last two decades as an engine for managing business relationships with customers.
The direct transactional benefits of the deployment and use of the CRM are valued by the impact that an efficient management of sales, marketing, and services brings to the company’s results, all resulting from an effective management of customer knowledge, and from putting the customer at the center of all strategic decisions. The objective of the CRM technology solution is therefore in line with modern customer-oriented management theories.
However, despite the existence of previous studies on the benefits that the use of CRM can bring to companies, there are no studies that establish a direct relationship between the degree of introduction of CRM and the expected benefits.
Therefore, the final objective of this study is to establish a model that allows to assess the influence that the degree of use of the CRM has on the scope of the benefits expected by the companies. To do this, in the first place, an analysis is made that identifies the variables that determine the degree of introduction and use of CRM, and then the benefits expected by the companies that use CRM are identified. Based on the above, a model is established that will assess the influence of the degree of use of CRM on the impact on the expected benefits of companies.

The results show that age and age of work influence the affective commitment of health professionals, the results coincide with the authors Dorien and Cols, (2010) and Ng and Feldman (2011) agree that the affective commitment is lower in older and older employees and is weaker or declining as the years of employment seniority increased, the results obtained in this study coincide with the authors mentioned and it is concluded that of the 149 nursing professionals in Guadalajara and Zapopan (Jalisco). The greater the age of the worker and seniority of the nursing professional at private hospitals in study of Guadalajara and Zapopan decreases the affective commitment. Another of the conclusions is that nursing professionals would not be happy to spend the rest of his life in the same company.

ABSTRACTThe relationship between commercial trade and economic growth has been an area of interest to many researchers in recent years. Although the literature is broad with respect to this topic, few studies have focused on the particular effect of cultural exports and imports. Potts (2007) highlights culture as an engine of economic growth, through creative and cultural industries within an innovation system.
This study addresses the relationship between trade in cultural goods and services and economic growth in 34 countries in Europe for the period 2006-2015, through a VECM model. Cultural trade is characterized by exports and imports of cultural goods and services.
The results indicate there is a long-run equilibrium relationship between cultural imports (exports), total imports (exports), and gross domestic product. In the short

run, there is a negative bidirectional effect between the cultural imports’ growth and the economic growth, but there is a unidirectional effect from cultural exports to GDP growth. The same effects are confirmed by the Granger Causality analysis.

Song, 2015; Elvira, Larraga, y Puig, 2017).
ABSTRACTGenerally, fixed income is associated with a risk-free asset that also generates a return that is known in advance (Mascareñas Pérez-Íñigo, 2002; Elvira, Larraga, & Puig, 2017). However, identifying fixed income with these qualities and even referring generically to assets of this type as “bonds” can lead to confusion and, in fact, it is observed that the terminology used in the literature can be in many cases excessively ambiguous. The lack of clarity and precision when talking about fixed income can be a double-edged weapon, especially in the case of the retail investor who needs to understand precisely the concept of fixed income itself. Therefore, this document analyzes and clarifies the characteristics of fixed income by referring to the different types of risks to which it may be subject (Martín Mato, 2001; Caldeira et al., 2015; Li & Song, 2015; Elvira, Larraga, & Puig, 2017). Likewise, the idea is that the fixed income underlies a predetermined financial formula that is what allows us to clearly distinguish it from variable income.

ABSTRACTInnovation is one of the fundamental engines to improve competitiveness and promote economic growth (Porter, 1990). This is why in specific sectors such as the case of energy, it is important to develop new strategies and innovative projects to find new and more environmentally friendly production processes that replace fossil fuels sources by new renewable energy sources (Anadón, 2012). In this sense, in recent years, new concepts such as “eco-innovation” have appeared, being understood as specific actions to improve new production, products and processes methods with the main purpose of protecting the environment and obtaining sustainability for economic development (Ma & Hu, 2018). Taking this frame into account and using the Technological Innovation Panel database (PITEC), provided by the National Institute of Statistics (INE) in collaboration with the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT), we will analyze what factors influence the development of innovative projects as well as the importance of financing projects aimed at making environmentally friendly innovations.

ABSTRACTThis research work raises the main objective of analyzing what are the determinants that affect the employment of the population that has completed a bachelor’s degree in Baja California, Mexico in the period from 2012 to 2016. This is due to the need to explore empirically the internal and external educational factors of high school and degree education that may be involved in the labour market, in particular to stable recruitment as a proxy variable of the Employment. To do this, a correlation matrix and a linear regression model were estimated. Greater statistical association is found with educational variables with respect to labour market variables.

ABSTRACTThe present in which we live moves fast. Reality is transformed and evolving at a breakneck pace. The ability to adapt to changes is one of the keys to survival. Companies are no exception. Mature industries need to reinvent themselves. From them arise new niches of business. The new paradigms are integrated into their usual operation. Recycling and the circular economy are examples of this. The aim of our work is to define the pillars that support the textile recycling industry and to raise the main existing business models. To this end, this task will be addressed from the Spanish perspective mainly, although without ignoring the contextualization in international key.

ABSTRACTThe labor market in Mexico is characterized by high levels of informality. During the period from 2005 to 2014 on average 58.8% of the employed population was informal. For this reason, the objective of the research is to analyze labor informality classified as independent and dependent, contrasting the dual and institutional theories that provide its explanation, identifying those factors that contribute to determining this phenomenon. A fixed effects model is estimated with panel data by federative entity for the period 2005-2014. The results suggest that both dual and institutional factors explain the object of study, however, the duals have a greater impact on the levels of informality in the country. It is concluded that, in order to reduce informality, public policies must be aimed at influencing dual variables such as education and employment capacity in the modern sector of the economy.

ABSTRACTWe are in a moment of changes in Europe. A key period for the comparative analysis between two countries that are now part of the European Union and that will soon cease to be politically and economically linked by that supranational entity. Given this social change, the social structures of both countries have been comparatively analyzed, observing the causes that have led the United Kingdom to be able to freely decide the separation of the European Union and to face its consequences.
To focus the analysis, the studies of Vega (2019), Escartin (2011), Martínez (2013), Giner, Lamo and Torres (2013), Navarro (2014), Martin (2014), Santiago (2015), Kislev (2016), Torres-Albero and Lobera (2017) have been followed ) among others; and data from the Office of Diplomatic Administration (2017), National Statistics Institute (2017), Jesuit Migrant Service (2017), Labor Force Survey (2017), Olivié y Gracia (2018) and Cylus et al. (2015). In this way, through a multisectoral analysis, the structural origins that have given rise to Brexit in the United Kingdom and the processes of social change in Spain have been seen.
The main conclusions regarding the social structure are the differences with respect to the family nuclei, being Spain a country with broader family nuclei. Also with respect to the value structure where it can be observed that the United Kingdom is a more individualistic society with little risk aversion, more flexible, less conservative, although much more forgiving. There are also clear differences regarding immigration, being much more eclectic and broader in the United Kingdom. Also differences in religious issues, political and administrative structure and social services have contributed to the current situation at the gates of Brexit.
