Latidos del olvido es un proyecto artístico, encaminado a “reutilizar” lugares abandonados o deteriororados, a causa del paso del tiempo y el olvido. Cuenta con la colaboración de artistas y pensadores que aportan sus intervenciones y reflexiones intentando rescatar realidades del pasado y del presente. Se trata de intervenciones efímeras de todo tipo (fotografía, pintura mural, escultura, proyecciones…) cuya máxima premisa es el respeto total y absoluto de los espacios y entornos donde son realizadas. Creaciones in situ, realizadas en un lugar, con ese lugar y para ese lugar.

Beats of Oblivion is an artistic project,

aiming at the creative use of abandoned

places. It involves the collaboration of

artists and thinkers, who contribute with

their work, thoughts and ideastrying to

recover past and present realities.

It implies all types of ephemeral

interventions, whose ultimate premise

is a total and absolute respect for the

spaces and environments where they

are made. On-site creations made in one

place, with that place and for that place.

When someone observes for the first

time the work LATIDOS DEL OLVIDO,

the first words that come to my mind:

Decrepitude,

Desertion,

Memories,

Mutated smells,

Inspected places,

Fresh air,

Resurrection,

Melancholy,

Shadows,

Double readings,

Eternal recall,

Inexorable end...

Life in memoriam.

These artists with the contributions of

their co-workers of the word open their

work to a double reading of forgotten

spaces; some of them abandoned per

saecula saeculorum and others which are

sample of a past that went away and at the

expense of a new future. They are chants

made for the resurrection of former

moments; they are revitalized memories

in the review of spaces and their items.

It is the expression of a time

poetics, the attempt of giving an icono-

graphical solution to the concept of

memento mori; the attempt of re-defying

the idea of ‘vanities’ in our contemporary

world, under the neo-anthropological

sight of the current society, in a redefini-

tion of the values and the vital concepts

that have mutated in the confrontation

between positivism and spirituality.

And it is there where, from

the reason, dynamism, proportionality,

random, tidiness and expression, Paye,

Javier, Kike and Diego give back these

spaces to a new ephemeral life into the

physical world which becomes eternal in

the metaphysics of the memory.

Cuando uno observa por primera vez

la obra de LATIDOS DEL OLVIDO, las

palabras que primero se te vienen a la

cabeza son:

Decrepitud,

Abandono,

Recuerdos,

Olores mutados,

Espacios intervenidos,

Aire fresco,

Resurrección,

Melancolía,

Sombras,

Relecturas,

Remembranza eterna,

Inexorable fin...

Vida in memoriam.

Estos artistas y las aportaciones de sus

colaboradores de la palabra, abren su obra

a una relectura de espacios olvidados,

unos abandonados per secula seculorum,

otros muestra de un pasado que se fue

y a expensas de un futuro nuevo, son

cantos a la resurrección de momentos

pretéritos, son recuerdos revitalizados

en la revisión del espacio y sus objetos,

es la plasmación de una poética del

tiempo, el intento de dar una solución

iconográfica al concepto del memento

mori, redefinir la idea de la vanitas en

nuestro mundo contemporáneo, bajo la

visión neo-antropomórfica de la sociedad

actual, en una redefinición de valores y

conceptos vitales que han mutado en la

confrontación del positivismo y la espiri-

tualidad. Y es ahí, donde desde la razón,

el dinamismo, la proporción, la aleatorie-

dad, el orden y la expresión, Paye, Javier,

Kike y Diego, devuelven estos espacios

a una nueva vida efímera en el mundo

físico, que torna eterna en la metafísica

del recuerdo.

“INNER STATE”

The feeling of emptiness and nudity that

Morille caused me must be respected

and valued as such. The work inevitably,

is already conditioned! And thus, it must

be blended with this impression and this

environment.

The project “shadow of time”

continues to preserve the influence of

the shadows. Passing gently through the

surfaces. Shadows that are now embodied

and materialised taking a shape that fill

its place.

The accurate representation

of inner state has led this project and

in order to preserve it, I have subtly

deformed the human anatomy. I have

looked for anatomical shape develop-

ments in the space, as if the work was

growing up on itself locking up the empty

space. The inner emptiness, which evolves

as deals the work of the open volume

in the interior of the piece, producing

continual shapes in the space.

“ESTADO INTERIOR”

La sensación de vacío y desnudez que me

produjo Morille tenía que ser respetada

y valorada como tal. La obra inevitable-

mente ¡ya está condicionada! y debe de

fundirse con la impresión producida y

con el entorno.

El proyecto “La sombra del

tiempo” tiene aquí su continuidad al

mantener la presencia de las sombras

que recorren delicadamente las superfi-

cies. Sombras que ahora se encarnan y

se materializan adquiriendo un cuerpo

que ocupa su espacio.

La representación fidedigna

del estado interior ha marcado este

proyecto y para conseguirlo he distor-

sionado sutilmente la anatomía humana.

He buscado un desarrollo de las superfi-

cies anatómicas en el espacio, como si la

obra creciera sobre sí misma encerrando

los espacios vacíos. El vacío interior que

nos rodea marca el trabajo del volumen

abierto en el interior de la obra, que

produce formas de continuidad en el

espacio.
