1. INTRODUCTION

This manual provides the guidelines to install GesFicCom (software tool to prepare toxicological files) by

downloading the files, available from the Portal del Ministerio de Justicia

(http://www.mjusticia.gob.es).

It enables to install both the full GesfFicCom application and the “Sin Hojas de Ingredientes” version.

The following procedures are described:

• First installation: no previous version of GesFicCom has been downloaded.

• Update previous installation: an earlier GesFicCom version was downloaded and information is

stored. Therefore, select update option to preserve previous data.

2. REQUIREMENTS

The following requirements apply to installing and use of the GesFicCom tool:

1. Windows 2000, Windows XP or above.

2. 25MB available in installation disc.

3. Mininum resolution: 256 colours

4. Windows Installer 3.1 available. If not connected to Internet when installing, you must previously download it. More information: https://msdn.microsoft.com/es-es/library/h2zwd6bw%28v=vs.90%29.aspx

5. Net Framework 3.5 available. If not connected to Internet when installing, you must previously download it. More information: https://msdn.microsoft.com/es-es/library/h2zwd6bw%28v=vs.90%29.aspx

6. Install Encryption Certificate. Download “Certificado cifrado GesFicCom INTCF” from the web page: http://www.mjusticia.gob.es.

7. Perform the installation with Administrator rights; otherwise, the software may not work properly.

3. INSTALLING GESFICCOM

Download from link (see boxed area): http://www.mjusticia.gob.es/cs/Satellite/Portal/es/ministerio/organismos-ministerio-justicia/instituto-nacional/notification-spanish

Open the folder; it contains the files shown below:

a) GesFicComSetup_SinHojas.zip: for new installation

b) GesFicCom_Update_SinHojas.exe: to update previous GesFicCom version

3.1 First Installation

Click file "GesFicComSetup_SinHojas.zip" to display the "GesFicComSetup_SinHojas" folder

Open “GesFicComSetup_SinHojas.zip” file to display “GesFicComSetup_SinHojas” folder, which contains:

- Setup.exe

- GesFicComSetup.msi

Select the folder where you chose to store both files. Once extracted, go to the folder and open Setup

.exe file

The installation process will start

If the application has been previously installed, the screen displays 2 options:

a) Repair previously installed GesFicCom application ('Reparar GesFicCom') or

b) Delete previously installed GesFicCom application ('Quitar GesFicCom')

*IMPORTANT: make sure you have

'Administrator' rights.

First installation of GesFicCom:

If you selected 'continue' ('Siguiente'), the screen displays a disclaimer message:

Select installation folder with 'Examinar' (screen shows default location: C:\Program Files\GesFicCom\).

You may also decide whether installation is 'visible' for all or one of the pc users.

*Reminder message:

Administrator status: essential requirement

o Click: - ('Siguiente') to continue installation - ('Cancelar') to quit installation - ('Atras') to return

Optional: include Company name ('Nombre de la empresa').

Select installation folder ('Examinar')

(Screen shows default location: C:\Program

Files\GesFicCom\)

* Select: Application 'visible' for all pc users (‘Para todos los usuarios’) or only for this user (‘Solo para este usuario’)

Screen requests to confirm installing GesFicCom:

If you selected to continue, the installing program will copy the program files and perform system

adjustments for the application to run.

Screen reports that correct installation is accomplished. Press ‘Cerrar’ to finish.

3.2 Update previous installation

If you already have stored information from a previous installation, you must update (instead of

performing a new installation), in order to safe previously stored data.

IMPORTANT: before updating GesFicCom it is convenient to make a backup of the previous data.

Open GesFicCom, go to ‘Herramientas’ (Tools) in the main bar menu, select ‘Copia de Seguridad’

(Backup), and click ‘Crear Copia’ (Make Backup/Copy).

To update, extract the GesFicCom_Update_SinHojas file into a temporary folder of your PC. It will

display a screen to select the storage folder.

Note:

Please, check that the GesFicCom application folder contains

the correct folder structure (see figure)

Once extracted, go to the folder:

Double click: GesFicCom_Update_SinHojas.exe file.

Install & execute with Administrator rights

Screen displays a reminder message: Run the application in Administrator mode

o Click 'Acepto' to continue or 'Cancelar'

to cancel

Select route to locate the folder of your previously installed GesFicCom program files (search with

'Examinar'). Then press 'Instalar' tab to install the update. You may alternatively cancel ('Cancelar') or go

back ('Atras').

Once done, the 'installation completed' screen is displayed.

Update details may be checked in 'Detalles' tab.

o Search ('Examinar'):

GesFicCom folder (previously installed)

o Click:

- 'Instalar' tab to install the update - 'Cancelar' to cancel or - ‘Atras' to return

'Installation completed' status

(‘Completado’)

o Click

'Detalles' tab for update details

4. RUN GESFICCOM APPLICATION

Go to installation folder and open GesFicCom.exe file.

GesFicCom main page is displayed

o Open GesFicCom.exe file

Note:

Windows 7: the application may not work properly!

To solve the problem, please follow the next steps:

- Go to GesficCom Installing location

- Click GesFicCom.exe file to display 'Propiedades' (Properties):

o Open 'Compatibilidad' tab (Compatibility)

Click “Aceptar” to accept Click 'Aceptar' (Accept) to confirm changes & finish

Go to GesficCom installation folder

o click GesFicCom.exe file with right

button of your mouse o display 'Propiedades' (Properties)

'Nivel de privilegio'

(Rights status)

o Tick box: “Ejecutar este programa como administrador"

(Run program in Administrator mode)

5. INSTALL ENCRYPTION CERTIFICATE

Download from link (see boxed area): (http://www.mjusticia.gob.es/cs/Satellite/Portal/es/ministerio/organismos-ministerio-justicia/instituto-nacional/notification-spanish).

- Click once on Encryption certificate (ZIP.1 KB) link.

- Choose ‘Save as’ and select storage folder in your computer.

- With mouse (right button), select ‘Extract file’. Store it in a local pc folder.

- It displays the 'unzipped' file 'INTCF Remisión de Fichas Toxicológicas GesFicCom.cer'

Open GesFicCom

o Open GesFicCom

o Go to 'Herramientas' (Tools) tab

o Select 'Configuración'

At the bottom of the window, click select file icon (magnifying glass) beside 'Clave Pública SIT', search

the ‘INTCF Remisión de 'Fichas Toxicológicas GesFicCom.cer’ file in your store folder, and save.

Search: “INTCF Remisión de Fichas Toxicológicas GesFicCom.cer” file

o Select: “INTCF Remisión de Fichas Toxicológicas GesFicCom.cer” file in 'Clave Pública SIT' field

o Click to save
