Industry Profile Instrumentation is defined as the art and science of

measurement and control. Instrumentation can be used torefer to the field in which instrument technicians andengineers work, or it can refer to the available methods of

measurements & control and also the instrument, whichfacilitate them. Needed for control and measurement of the flow of gas,

oil, power etc. For core industries like power, oil, gas, petrochemicals and

chemicals etc Butterfly valves, control valves, pressure lending valves etc

are used Instrumentation Limited (IL) at Kota, Rajasthan was

established in 1964.

Company Profile IL is located in Palakkad-Coimbatore (N.H 47) road at a distance of 10km fromPalakkad city and 40km from Coimbatore. The exact place is known asKanjikode.

ILP has its operations in technically collaboration with an internationally

reputed firm YAMATAKE HONEY WELL Company Ltd, Japan for themanufacturing of control valves

Safety valves were manufactured in collaboration with M/S ETSL Bernard,France

Palakkad unit is mainly concentrating on control valves.

Started in 1976-1977 with a turnaround of Rs:2 crores and reached at Rs 100crore in 2009-10

the main competitors are MIL control Limited, moorco valves Trichy

Bharath heavy electrical Ltd, Cochin refineries Ltd, Indian oil corporation

Reliance Industry Ltd are some of its customers

Indian industry, but also to the overseas market todayinstrumentation plays a vital support role for a widespectrum of industrial enterprise engaging from coresector establishments such as steel, power, cement and oilrefiners to large medium and even small scale industries.

The pallakad unit has been maintaining the record inbeing only profit making unit in the last few decades. Thecordial and cooperative relationship between themanagement and the employees is the secret behind thepublic sector company .
