1. How does the beacon work in case of emergency?
When the boat starts to sink, the beacon detached itself from the
boat; this device is attached to the lift raft and sent a constant signal to a
satellite in order to indicate the position of the sailors at the sea.
2. Why is it important for the beacon to detach itself and activate itselfautomatically?
Because the most important thing at the moment of an emergency is
the safety of the people involve, is necessary focus all the activities in
actions that put the people safe in the shortest time, so the mechanism like
the beacon must be automatic in order to dont expend time in activities
that could create a risk for the sailors, like activate the beacon in an
emergency.
3. In case of a plane crashes or a ship sinks how are the survivors rescued?
When this accidents happens, the people can activate their personalemergency beacons and in addition, an automatic beacon is detached
itself and transmit a signal to a satellite, this signal is received and processed
for a ground station, which send a message to the national center, this one
send the signal alarm to the nearest rescue centre of the accident zone in
order to send a rescue team.
4. What's the difference between injection moulding process and blow
moulding process?
The principal two differences are the methodology of the process
and the characteristics of the product generated, in the injection moulding
process the plastic pellets are exposed to the heat and the molten plasticgenerated is injected into a mould in order to create a solid shape, in the
blow moulding the molten plastic is injected through a nozzle, later, air is
injected inside of the plastic creating a hollow shape with the help of a
mould cavity.
5. What's the difference between solid shapes and hollow shapes?
The solid shapes are created by the process of injection moulding of
plastic and are objects which structure is completely solidified and dont
have any internal spaces, the hollow shapes are created by the process of
blow moulding process and are pieces of plastic created to contain fluidsor something and they have an internal space.
6. What does the solid shape process consist of?
This process consist in the transformation of plastic pellets using heat
and the action of a screw and a cylinder in order to create from melted
plastic into a solid shape of plastic with the help of a special mold.

7. How does the launch abort system work?
The launch abort system is activated when the rocket misses the
height of 100 000 meters, in that moment the abort engine starts to work
and direct the LAS and the crew capsule away from the rocket. When this
engine end its function, the LAS continues to move away from the rocketwhit the action of the attitude control engine and this engine help to give
direction and stability to the system.
Later, the explosive bolts detonate, and the jettison engine fires and
pushes the crew capsule from the LAS, when the altitude is safe, the
parachutes are opened and the capsule float down into the ocean.
8. Mention the skills that qualified you for the oil engineering job?
For me and for all the people who want this job, we have to
understand the importance of the resource that we will handle; we need to
have availability about the time, capacity of working under pressure, the
knowledge and adaptability for different conditions of work and a lot ofdesire to work.
9. What is the future of plastic in aerospace engineering?
Essentially, the future of this field is about build the body and wings of
the aircrafts using just plastics or plastic composites, this is the implement
and innovation of new materials in order to obtain aircrafts and devices
with better proprieties and performance.
10. If an aircraft fails what happens to the crew?
If we are talking just about a one or two persons, the aircraft has a
mechanism of ejection seat, when something fails the pilot action thesystem with a ejection handle and the canopy of the cockpit are ejected
first, later a rocket is activated and the seat with the pilot are catapulted
out of the aircraft, later a parachute is opened separating the pilot from the
seat, and the pilot float down until the ground.
11. What is a gene gun for?
This is a device that inserts genetic information such as DNA into a
cell, the first gene gun was used initially to insert material into plants but the
necessities of the scientific field originate the evolution of this instrument.
It is actionated by a pulse of helium gas, which pushes its geneticbullet through the cell membrane into the cell.
12. What is lane keeping system?
It is a system that helps the driver to keep their vehicle in its lane when
is driving, trough two method, giving and audible or visible warning with

vibration in the steering wheel or correcting automatically the steering if the
driver ignore the warning.
13. Why are security measuresimportant in the workplace? These measures are important because the principal purpose of the
security in the job is avoid and prevents accidents in order to preserve theintegrity of the workers and the equipment, this measures can save lives
and money.
14. Mention the different sources of energy and the importance of them?
In the actuality we can include this sources in two groups; the green
energies that include all the kind of energy obtain from the environment like
the solar energy, wave energy, wind energy and others, they are so
important because represent the future and the solution for the humanity
about the energy and pollution problem that we have right now.
The other group are the no green energies, are all the sources that
represent a damage to the environment and the most of them are no
renewable, as the fossil resources like the oil, gas, coil, etc., and others like
the nuclear energy.
15. What are the four main elements of the power plant?
They are the generator where is created the electric energy, the
injection wells where the cold water is injected to the reservoir, the
extraction well where the hot water is conducted to the surface and the
steam separator where the water is removed from the steam.
16. What would you do if the ship you are traveling started sinking? If I am just a passenger I have to follow the instructions of the trained
personal, let them do their job and not interfere. If I work in the boat I have
to implement my training, put myself safe; take a life jacket and go to the
lifeboat, help my partners if I can and wait for the rescue team.
17. What would you do if were in an aircraft and it failed?
If I am just a passenger I have to follow the instructions of the trained
personal, let them do their job and not interfere. If I am driving the aircraft I
have to watch the warning signals, activate the ejection system pulling the
ejection handle and later land in the ground separating myself from theseat opening the seatbelts.
18. What project or task are you working on at the moment?
My principal activity at the moment is focus mi attention and my
effort in my career, my signatures and my grades, as every winter holidays I
will work in the PEMEX hospital , and I am looking for a place where I can
give my social service and will participate this winter in a beauty contest.
