EXAMEN DE DIAGNÓSTICO

Para aquellos candidatos que viven a más de 200 k de un centro binacional, estamos dando

la opción de rendir un examen de diagnóstico llamado TOEFL Practice Online. Podrás

comprar cualquiera de los cuatro exámenes de prueba en http://toeflpractice.ets.org/ y

luego seguir las instrucciones para verificar el sistema y poder rendirlo. Debes tener en

cuenta que para rendir el examen, necesitas un micrófono que funcione bien y parlantes;

también debés tener instalado el complemento de Flash Adobe Player y, preferentemente,

usar Internet Explorer en PC o Safari en MAC. Otros exploradores pueden llegar a causar

problemas a la hora de realizar el examen.

Al final del examen, se te mostrara en pantalla el resultado obtenido y esto será suficiente

para presentar como certificado de inglés en esta instancia. Al ser un examen de práctica,

antes de iniciarlo, se te va a preguntar si deseás hacerlo TIMED o UNTIMED (es decir que

podrías pararlo y retomarlo). Es obligatorio rendirlo en el modo TIMED y nunca pararlo (el

examen dura 3 h aproximadamente, pero hay un descanso de 10 minutos en la mitad). Es

muy importante que lo hagas de esta forma, ya que es lo más similar a un examen real. Al

final del examen, verás un reporte del puntaje que obtuviste y en ese reporte va a figurar si

la modalidad fue TIMED o UNTIMED (además nosotros podríamos verificar con ETS). Si el

examen fue tomado UNTIMED o parado, no va a servir el puntaje y deberás comprar otro y

volverlo a rendir para seguir en el proceso de selección.

Finalmente, en caso de ser citado a una entrevista, el nivel de inglés se terminará de

comprobar en esa instancia. A continuación, incluimos instrucciones brindadas por ETS y

compatibility with the TOEFL Practice Online site. • On the right side of the home page, click “Site Capacity Check” to help diagnose potential

issues with your computer and internet connection.

To register your code(s) and get started:

• Go to the TOEFL Practice Online home page at http://toeflpractice.ets.org. • Click “Check System” to check your computer or device’s compatibility with the TOEFL

Practice Online site. • Click “Site Capacity Check” to help diagnose potential issues with your computer and

internet connection. • On the right side of the home page, where it says: “If you have an authorization number,

please enter it below:”, enter the unique authorization code provided. • Once you have entered the authorization code, you will have the option to create a new

account or enter your username and password for an existing account. Once you put in the authorization code and assign it to an account, no other user can access it.

2.What hardware and software do 1 need to run the audio browser? To successfully run the audio browser,you will need a computer that supports the Windows operating system, and has Windows Media Player 9 orlater installed. Administrator or power user rights are required lo install he audio browser, though no specialprivileges are required o take!he test.

3.What do 1 have todo to install and run the audio browser? The audio browser involves installing a small Windows applicati on on your computer. The application does not require configuration, but it does require either Power User or Administrator rights to install. When a secure test starts, it will automatically launch the audio browser, taking control of the screen and locking down!he environment for the duration of the test. At he end of the test,the audio browser shellis released,and controlis returned back o your browser. No changes or reconfigurati ons are made o your browser.
