Evolution Database – ‘ED’Our database is our core repository of customer relationship data and business information.

The database has over 4.5 million profiles, with ~5,000 records added/updated each day.

By integrating multiple data sources with the information added by our consultants, a detailed profile of a candidate is created.

Bespoke SoftwareBy developing our software in-house, the database evolves to meet the needs of our clients, the market and how our business functions.

Our ‘market mapping’ application is an example of the advantage this brings.

The Challenge

Cisco needed a Senior Director to lead a 300-person engineering team in the UK, USA and India.

Candidates would need experience managing a large and diverse engineering team across continents. Specific product knowledge was also critical to Cisco.

The role would have the potential to progress to Vice President level, managing the engineering and commercial developments of an important product stream.

The Solution

For such a specific role Evolution suggested a retained headhunt approach. This gave our Key Accounts team the scope to undertake a global search for candidates.

Evolution worked with Cisco to write and define a comprehensive job specification.

We began a series of activities to discover, attract and short list candidates for Cisco.

A structured interview and screening process ensured the candidates were of quality Cisco required.

The Results

Evolution delivered the Senior Director of Engineering whilst also identifying two Senior Sales professionals who were hired by Cisco.

Evolution now work with Cisco working on many global recruitment campaigns.

These include retained executive assignments, specialist niche technical searches and volume recruitment outsourcing campaigns.

The Challenge

DCSL were looking for the top 20 percentile of developers in the marketplace.

Due to a long recruitment process they were regularly losing potential candidates. DCSL were only looking to UK based developers, without consideration for European candidates.

The Solution

Evolution worked intensively with DCSL to show them they were missing out on a lots

of talented candidates from the European marketplace.

We worked with DCSL to improve the time the recruitment process took, whilst also

convincing them to interview candidates based in Europe.

Using Video interviews, something DCSL had not considered, high quality candidates

from Europe were now accessible to DCSL.

Whilst Video interviews do not replace face-to-face techniques, they provide DCSL enough information to decide whether to progress candidates from Europe further.

The Results

Evolution have placed 26 developers with DCSL in the last 15 months. 24 of these were based in Europe and relocated to the UK to work for DCSL.

The development team at DCSL has subsequently tripled in size and their employer brand has received increased exposure in thecandidate marketplace.

DCSL can now service more clients as a result of the team’s growth.

We use Net Promotor Score (NPS) style surveys to assess the performance of everyone of our consultants.

Following working with us we send clients a survey and ask them to rate us based on one question:

“How likely is it that you would recommend Evolution to a friend or colleague?”

Detractor scores are subtracted from promotors, with passives omitted.
