alphanumeric characters are converted into data that can travel

across the internetwork.

Packing data to be transported from end to end. The

data is packaged to be transported by the

internetwork. By using segments, the transport

function ensures that message hosts at both ends ofemail system can communicate reliably.

Add the IP network address to the header. The data is

put into a packet or datagram packet contains a

header with the logical addresses of origin anddestination. These addresses help network devices

send packets through the network along a chosen

path.

Add the header information and the end of the datalink layer. Each network device must put the packet

into a frame. The grid allows you to connect to the

next network device connected directly to the link.

Each device in the chosen network path requires

framing to connect to the next device.

Converting to bits for transmission. The plot should

Data network layer is sent to the data link layer for transmission over a physical link,

which is usually point to point in a WAN. The data link layer creates a frame around

the data network layer, so that apply checks and necessary. Each WAN connection

type uses a Layer 2 protocol to encapsulate traffic while crossing the WAN link. To

ensure you are using the correct encapsulation protocol, you must configure the typeof Layer 2 encapsulation used in each router serial interface. The encapsulation

protocol to be used depends on the WAN technology and equipment. Most of the web

is based on the HDLC standard.
