Here is the latest Westwood Heating Products

Catalog. It marks the third issue since our re-

design of our catalog format and numbering

system. We have been gratified by the positive

response this format has received and hope it

has been a helpful tool in sourcing your heating

products requirements.

As with previous issues, this issue has new and

exciting product additions. Every section, from

"C" in the beginning to "T" at the end, has been

expanded, reflecting our commitment to making

Westwood your most complete source for the

products your customers want the most. Quality

products that make their jobs easier and make you a necessary part in the supply line

they rely on.

I would like to invite you to take some time and browse through this new catalog. Take

particular note in the "C" section that Westwood is now a National Distributor for Utility

Products, a leader in chemicals designed specifically for the oil heat service industry. Note,too, the addition of solderless terminals and other electrical accessories at the end of the "E"

section. The Spin-On filter section in "F" has been expanded and has a new look to make it

easier to identify your needs. Since Westwood is now the sole US distributor of SpiralinkTM

circulator couplings, the "H" sections has been expanded to include these fine couplings.

The "S" section boasts an expanded Tigerloop section introducing the Tigerloop ULTRATM, a

Tigerloop/ Westwood Spin-On filter combined in one, UL Listed of course. These are just the

highlights; there's much, much more!

Finally, you will notice throughout this issue the use of a new logo (shown below) on many of

our products proclaiming "BIOFUELS COMPATABLE". These items have been tested here at

Westwood and found to be suitable for use with B20 (or lower) heating oil. We have taken

this extra step to insure that our customers are prepared for this emerging trend of the future.

This test is intended to show an additive's relative ability to control sludge,keep metal surfaces clean, and protect tanks against corrosion. For eachadditive, place: 1" of water, a metal "coupon", a little sludge, fuel oil, andthe additive to be tested (at recommended rate) in a 1 quart jar. Make sureto prepare one jar with no additive for comparison later on. Cover looselyand simulate "Life in a tank" by changing the oil every month. Stop the testwhen the untreated jar shows deterioration of the "coupon" and sludgeformation. Inspect the "coupon" and pour the contents through a strainer.
