Siempre tienen una componente conceptual que evoca su origen siendo importantes términos como la tensión, el equilibrio, la versatilidad o el trabajo de los materiales.
Las producciones DVELAS se realizan en dos tipos de edición:

Inspired by the heel of a sailing boat when it navigates and which is coun-terweighted by the crew when they sit on the other side of the boat to balance it, as well as by the different courses and winds that require diffe-rent sail positions to navigate.

Su peculiar forma la hace muy confortable ya que el curvado de su vértice sirve como apoyo para la cabeza así como para dar sombra y estar protegi-dos frente al viento.

El diseño inspirado en las rompientes de mar busca la transformación literal de una vela en tumbona. Mediante el cambio de posición vertical a horizon-tal y el curvado de la pieza se consigue conferir confort, protección al viento y sombra con un único gesto.
Concept
The design, inspired by the sea breakers, seeks the literal transforma-tion of a sail into a lounger. Comfort is achieved just by changing its position from vertical to horizontal and by bending the piece, providing protection from the wind and shade with one single movement.
La forma se genera mediante el curvado de varillas de fi bra de vidrio en tensión. // The shape is generated by bending fi bre glass rods in tension.

Diseño y Edición de mobiliario reutilizando las velas y confeccionándolas con las técnicas de fabricación utilizadas en las velerías profesionales. Los diseños están basados en las cualidades de las velas y en sus técnicas de aparejo.
Siempre tienen una componente conceptual que evoca su origen siendo importantes términos como la tensión, el equilibrio, la versatilidad o el trabajo de los materiales.
Las producciones DVELAS se realizan en dos tipos de edición:
Ediciones Limitadas: Series procedentes de una vela concreta identifi cadas con una etiqueta con datos de procedencia de la vela como el puerto de origen, el barco, el tipo de vela, el tejido y su fabricante original.
Ediciones Únicas: Piezas exclusivas procedentes de una zona específi ca de una vela con especiales cualidades plásticas por su pátina, marcas o números. También estas piezas están etiquetadas con los datos de procedencia de la vela.
DVELAS nace como una iniciativa completamente innovadora, con un diseño conceptual, refl exivo y evocador del mar y la navegación a vela. Una actividad intrínsicamente ecológica que recupera y reutiliza las velas para producir mobiliario en piezas exclusivas.

El bronce en contacto con el aire del mar se degrada lentamente en un proceso espontáneo emergiendo con el tiempo una capa de sales de cobre sobre la superfi cie del metal llamada pátina. // When bronze comes in con-tact with the sea air, it slowly degrades into a spontaneous process, and with time a layer of copper salt emerges on the surface of the metal, called patina.

Los hilos son de diferentes colores y las combinaciones cromáticas cambian por pieza. // Brass tube, recovered bronze cringles, hemp rope, nylon thread. A lot of cringles are green in colour, typical of the rusting of bronze. The threads are of different colours and the chromatic combinations change from one piece to another.
