Iberflora vuelve a crecer y reúne a 466 firmas expositoras con lo último en planta y flor, paisajismo, tecnología y bricojardín

• La feria incorpora nuevas empresas, entre ellas destacados grupos extranjeros, y tiene confirmada la visita de compradores de 12 países

Iberflora, Feria Internacional de Planta y Flor, Paisajismo, Tecnología y Bricojardín, celebra su 46ª edición en Feria Valencia del 4 al 6 de octubre. El certamen, el más importante del sector verde en España y uno de los referentes en Europa, aborda una nueva convocatoria con un crecimiento notable de la oferta y con nuevas propuestas que aportan valor añadido a la convocatoria.

La feria mostrará durante tres días lo último en planta y flor, paisajismo, decoración exterior, bricojardín y tecnología, con un total de 466 firmas expositoras. De ellas, 330 son españolas y 136 son marcas extranjeras procedentes de 21 países, con un peso mayoritario de empresas procedentes de Alemania, Francia, Italia, Reino Unido, Países Bajos y Portugal.

La superficie expositiva bruta supera los 57.500 metros cuadrados, distribuidos en los pabellones 1,2, 3 y distribuidor del nivel 3 de Feria Valencia. La ocupación comercial neta ha crecido un 9%, lo que supone que desde 2012, y tras años muy duros para el sector, el incremento acumulado de superficie expositiva se sitúa por encima del 30%.

Tanto el presidente de Iberflora, Óscar Calabuig, como su director, Miguel Bixquert, aseguran que para esta edición las perspectivas son “excelentes”. De hecho, el certamen ha conseguido la renovación de prácticamente la totalidad de empresas participantes el año pasado. Pero además se han recuperado importantes firmas extranjeras, entre ellas destacados grupos del norte de Europa. Además, la feria cuenta con nuevas empresas de sectores como el bricolaje, empresas de jardinería y paisajismo y proveedores de floristería.

Todos ellos han realizado un gran esfuerzo innovador, convirtiendo a Iberflora en una auténtica pasarela de novedades. Un año más, la ecología está muy presente en el escaparate, así como todo tipo de productos vinculados con los huertos urbanos.

Por el lado de la demanda, Iberflora ha reforzado tanto su plan de promoción nacional como el programa internacional Iberflora Business Club, por lo que está previsto que el número de visitantes profesionales también aumente de forma considerable. En concreto, está confirmada la presencia de los grandes grupos de distribución nacionales -que celebrarán una jornada en el marco de Iberflora bajo el título “El Jardín que viene”- así como la asistencia de compradores extranjeros procedentes de 12 países. Por otro lado, y junto al objetivo comercial, Iberflora dará respuesta a las necesidades de información, formación e intercambio de experiencias de los visitantes. Y lo hará con un programa muy amplio de actividades paralelas entre las que destaca la segunda edición de La Noche +Verde, un encuentro que se realiza de la mano de Jardinarium y con el apoyo de Aliat Grup y la Asociación Española de Centros de Jardinería (AECJ) la noche previa a la inauguración de la feria -esto es, el 3 de octubre-.

La Noche + Verde reunirá a casi 500 profesionales y servirá de reconocimiento al canal garden en España. Grandes patrocinadores como Flower y Artevasi y colaboradores como Compo, Urbaser, Orvifrusa, Vithal Garden, Herstera y SBM Life Science hacen posible la iniciativa. Este año, tras la Noche +Verde, la firma Flower festejará en Feria Valencia su 60 aniversario con una fiesta temática y música en directo. Iberflora 2017 potenciará todo el ámbito de jardinería y paisajismo con un panel de ponencias de máximo interés en las III Jornadas Internacionales de Paisajismo y Arboricultura que se desarrollarán en el “Ágora verde” de Iberflora. En ellas darán su visión expertos del sector y también representantes de distintas administraciones y de distinto signo político, lo que enriquecerá un debate que está despertando gran expectación en el sector. En este mismo marco, el Salón del Árbol se consolida con una atractiva parte expositiva y distintas actividades como conferencias, mesas redondas y demostraciones en vivo de técnicas de trepa, seguridad y rescate que tendrán lugar en el espacio Tree Climbers. Todo ello se complementará, como proyecto de carácter divulgativo, con el proyecto “Bosquearte”, con exposiciones, conferencias, performances y talleres. Por su parte, el sector de la floristería tendrá un papel protagonista gracias no sólo a una mayor presencia comercial en la Ronda de Floristas sino también a la recuperación de la Copa Iberflora de Arte Floral (CIAF) , que cuenta en esta ocasión con 15.000 euros en premios y que tiene el respaldo de Verdnatura y otras firmas del sector como Galacticblum, Oasis Floral y Rosify Box. Por otro lado, cerca de 200 profesionales de este sector, integrantes de la comunidad “El arte de la flor y su gente”, participarán en Iberflora con talleres y cursos y la creación de una “Rosmelia gigante” –una composición a partir de pétalos de rosa de aproximadamente 2 metros y en forma de ramo de novia-. Desde el punto de vista de la difusión de la cultura verde y la promoción del consumo, Iberflora, como feria sectorial referente, quiere seguir jugando un papel fundamental y, en este sentido, acoge distintas propuestas. Entre ellas, está el proyecto Inspiratio* , “que pretende generar una corriente de opinión para valorizar el verde en proyectos de arquitectura, paisajismo e interiorismo”. En la feria, la apuesta se escenificará en un espacio conceptual que servirá de zona de descanso y reflexión. En él se proyectará un vídeo en el que expertos de distintas disciplinas -paisajistas, artistas, gardens…- reflexionan sobre el papel del “verde”, su relación con la creatividad y los retos de futuro. Inspiratio* es un proyecto respaldado por la empresa Compo. Del mismo modo, Iberflora servirá de escenario a la presentación del programa nacional “Villas en flor”, que tendrà lugar el día 4 a las 13 horas en la plaza Asfplant (pabellón 1). Un proyecto cuyo objetivo es potenciar los espacios verdes urbanos y su gestión sostenible. El concurso “Espacios verdes 2*2”; una exposición de fotografía en torno al mundo del árbol o la jornada sobre sostenibilidad organizada por Koppert y MPS son otras de las propuestas que sin duda van a sorprender a los profesionales en Iberflora 2017. The Iberflora showcase is bigger, with 466 exhibitors showing the very latest in plants and flowers, landscaping and garden DIY

Iberflora, the International Fair for Plants, Flowers, Landscaping, Technology and Garden DIY, is taking place for the 46th time, at Feria Valencia, from 4th to 6th October. This new edition of the fair, the horticulture industry’s leading event in Spain and one of the foremost in Europe, is set to showcase more companies and products than ever, complemented by new features that add even more value to the event.

Over the three days it is open, the fair will be showing the latest in plants and flowers, landscaping, décor, garden DIY and technology, with a total of 466 exhibitors. 330 of these are Spanish and 136 are foreign brands from 21 different countries – mostly France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Portugal and the United Kingdom.

The overall area dedicated to exhibits covers 57,500 square metres across pavilions 1, 2 and 3 and the lobby area of level 3 at Feria Valencia. Net sales space is 9% up, which means that since 2012 and following some very challenging years for the industry, the accumulated increase in exhibition space is 30%.

Both Iberflora’s president, Óscar Calabuig and its director, Miguel Bixquert, claim that the outlook for this edition is ‘excellent’. In fact, almost all the exhibitors at last year’s fair are back again this year, but major foreign companies have returned too, including key northern European groups. The fair has also recruited new companies from the DIY, gardening and landscaping sectors as well as floristry suppliers.

All involved have invested a huge effort to innovate and Iberflora will, as a result be brimming with originality. Ecology will once again be a significant feature of the showcase as will every kind of product related to urban farming.

In response to demand, Iberflora has boosted both the promotional initiatives it rolls out within Spain and the international Iberflora Business Club programme. The number of professionals visiting is expected to be considerably higher than last time round as a result. Most notably, major Spanish retail groups have confirmed their attendance and will be holding a seminar at Iberflora titled “The garden of the future”. Foreign buyers from 12 different countries have also confirmed they will be visiting.

Alongside Iberflora’s commercial objectives and in response to demand, it will also be providing information and education for visitors, as well as opportunities for them to share experiences via an extensive programme of parallel events. One of the highlights will be the second La Noche + Verde, a gathering hosted by Jardinarium, and other firms like Aliat Grup and AECJ, the evening before the fair opens (3rd October).

La Noche + Verde will bring almost 500 professionals together and will be a celebration of the garden centre business in Spain. The event has been made possible thanks to major sponsors such as Flower and Artevasi and supporters such as Compo, Urbaser, Orvifrusa, Vithal Garden, Herstera and SBM Life Science. After La Noche + Verde,

Flower will be holding a themed party with live music in Valencia to mark its 60th anniversary.

Iberflora 2017 is putting the spotlight on gardening and landscaping through a programme of presentations covering key areas of interest. These will be delivered at the 3rd International Landscaping and Arboriculture Conference, which will be taking place in Iberflora’s ‘Ágora verde’. The speakers will include subject experts and representatives of various official bodies of different political persuasions – a sure recipe for a lively debate.

The Salón del Árbol (Tree Event) is bigger this year and includes a display element as well as a number of activities such as live demonstrations of climbing, safety and rescue techniques that will take place at Tree Climbers area. The ‘Bosquearte’ is being staged within the Salón del Árbol and, as an educational initiative, will feature exhibits, talks, performances and workshops.

Floristry will be a major part of the fair: the trade will not only have a larger commercial presence, through the Ronda de Floristas (Florists Area), but also the Iberflora Floral Art Cup (CIAF) is making a comeback. The competition is creating considerable excitement – the prize is 15,000 euros – and is being supported by Verdnatura and other major players in the industry such as Galacticblum, Oasis Floral and Rosify Box.

The “Floral art and its people” community is also being represented, with around 200 professionals offering workshops and courses. They will also be creating a ‘giant Rosmelia’ – a sculpture made from rose petals. In the shape of a wedding bouquet, it will be about two metres long.

As the leading fair for the industry, Iberflora is hoping to continue to play a key role in promoting the culture of plants and flowers and promoting consumption and has launched a number of initiatives with this in mind. These include the Inspiratio* project*, “which aims to channel opinion towards appreciating the value of plant material in architectural, landscaping and interior design projects.” The proposition will be represented at the fair in a concept space that will serve as an area in which visitors can relax, reflect and watch a video in which experts in different disciplines – landscapists, artists, gardeners… – will reflect upon the role of plant material, its relationship with creativity and the challenges that lie ahead. The Inspiratio* project is being supported by Compo.

Iberflora will also be the setting for the launch of the national “Villas en Flor” (Villages in Bloom) programme, which takes place on the 4th at 13:00 at Plaza ASFPLANT in pavilion 1. The aim of the project is to promote urban green spaces and sustainable management of these spaces.

The “Green spaces 2*2” competition, promoted by Asfplant, an exhibition of photographs centred on the world of trees and a seminar on sustainability organized by Koppert and MPS are three more special events that will undoubtedly deliver surprises to professionals visiting Iberflora 2017.
