4:00 pm Mass Entrance Gather Your People

Refrain

Gather your people, O Lord. Gather your people, O Lord. One bread, one body, one spirit of love. Gather your people, O Lord. 1. Draw us forth to the table of life: brothers and sisters, each of us called to walk in your light.

2. We are parts of the body of Christ, needing each other, each of the gi"s the Spirit provides. 3. No more harm on the mountain of God; swords into plowshares. Free us, O Lord, from hardness of heart. 4. Wash us, Lord, in the waters of life; waters of mercy, waters of hope that flow from your side. By: B. Hurd©1991. OCP Publica0ons. All rights reserved. Fill us with the fire of your love, burn in us now, bring us together.

Come to us, dwell in us, change our lives, O Lord, come to us, Spirit of God. 3. Send us the wings of new birth, fill all the earth with the love you have taught us. Let all crea0on now be shaken with love, come to us, Spirit of God. By: D. Hass©1987. GIA Publica0ons. All rights reserved. Used by permission. Li-cense # A-722878.

L oving and faithful God, through the years the people of our archdio-cese have appreciated the prayers

and love of Our Lady of Prompt Succor in times of war, disaster, epidemic and ill-ness. We come to you, Father, with Mary our Mother, and ask you to help us in the battle of today against violence, murder

and racism.

We implore you to give us your wisdom that we may build a community founded on the values of Jesus, which gives re-

spect to the life and dignity of all people.

Bless parents that they may form their children in faith. Bless and protect our youth that they may be peacemakers of our time. Give consolation to those who

have lost loved ones through violence.

Hear our prayer and give us the persever-ance to be a voice for life and human

dignity in our community.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Our Lady of Prompt Succor, hasten to

help us.

Mother Henriette Delille, pray for us that

we may be a holy family.

Gospel John 2:1Gospel John 2:1Gospel John 2:1Gospel John 2:1----11111111

God’s kindness is demonstrated by Jesus in today’s gospel. When the wine runs out at the wedding, Jesus turns water into wine; his first mira-cle. Not only does Jesus help in Cana, but he helps others throughout His lifetime. We are called to imitate Christ. Performing acts of kindness in our society today can be challenging, but it can also be contagious. If you do something kind for someone, that person may do something kind in return for someone else. There is a desperate cry for kindness in our world. Think about your school, workplace, city, and community. How many acts of selfishness come to mind? Let’s not even begin to think about the selfishness and evil that are reported on the news. Join us at Life Teen and Edge to experience God’s endless kindness, and be inspired to bring that kindness out into the world!

In the parable of the talents (Matthew 25:14-30) Jesus illustrates how we will be held account-able at the end of our lives for the use of the abili-ties we have been given. Act of Spiritual Communion My Jesus, I believe that You are in the Blessed Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I long for You in my soul. Since I cannot now receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. As though You have already come, I embrace You and unite myself en-tirely to You; never permit me to be separated from You.
