    Dear Community Members, Agencies, Businesses, Schools and Donors,

    Latinos Working for the Future has enjoyed 20 years of promoting the Latino culture and educating the communityon Latino issues in Muskegon and Oceana counties. Latinos Working for the Future is dedicated to preserving the

    Latino culture through education and cultural programming. In celebration of Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos)

    we would like to invite you, your families, your students and co-workers to be part of the first Latino 5k Day of

    the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) 5K Run/Walk and Kids Fun Run for the Muskegon and surrounding county families.

    This event will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2013 beginning at 9:00amand the Kids Fun Run will begina t

    10:00am at Muskegon YMCA, 900 West Western Avenue, Muskegon, Michigan 49441.

    Latinos Working for the Future is requesting your collaboration in promoting health and wellness with a cultural

    spin. All donations and registrations will go toward the continuation of the annual Fiesta de Salud- Festival of

    Health held in August of each year. Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) is a day of remembrance honoring our

    loved ones that have passed. We ask you to run or walk as a family or in memory of a loved one. We will have acommunity alter available at the event that we invite you to share in by emailing us a name of a loved one to be

    displayed.

    We write to request your assistance and participation in participating in the Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos)

    5K run/walk and Kids Fun Run. By participating/donating in the event you will have available:

    Adults: with your entry you will receive a Day of the Dead T-shirt, race timing, a certified race

    course, free pre/post stretching and a chance to win prizes.

    Children: Prizes will be awarded for age categories and the best dressed Halloween Costume. After

    the Fun Run join us for Day of the Dead activities, face painting, warm treats and fun.

    All: Join us for warm Mexican treats after the race, a Community Alter, Prizes for the Best Adult

    Costume, Best Youth Costume, overall and Master winners, male/female 5-year age group.

    Group: the group (classroom, school, business, family, agency) with the largest number of

    participants will win a free lunch party.

    Donor: Sponsorships will include business logos at the water stations, registration tables and

    banners can be placed throughout the event. Sponsorships of $250+ will also include business logo

    on the back of the event T-shirt.

    Cost: $20.00 Adult Individual, $40.00 Family, $ 5.00 Kids Fun Run

    Onsite Registration: available for an additional $5.00 fee

    Early Packet Pick-up: Saturday, November 2, 2013 1:00-4:00pm at YMCA
