creating Windows and Linux operating system configurations for equipment to be sent to test facility, thereby reducing risk from latent or undetected failure of equipment from vehicle and shelter testing.

Provided systems engineering support to an integrated product team in charge of providing a national communication infrastructure by providing a breakdown of system level requirements applicable to the local and wide area networks (LAN and WAN) which allowed engineers and technicians to develop components and configurations that complied with customer requirements.

August 2008 to May 2013. Integrated Product Team Lead Led teams consisting of personnel from various disciplines on three software development and system

level integration projects, with increasing responsibility and scope with each subsequent leadership position. Provided a single authority for all scope, technical and cost associated with the area assigned to the integrated product team.

Managed labor budgets and was responsible for earned value management reporting for the integrated product teams as a cost account manager. Budgets ranged from $3M to $13M and were either on target or slightly underspent while providing consistent and predictable performance resulting in accurate project forecasts. Additionally responsible for material budgets ranging from $500k to $30M.

Managed teams ranging in size from 3 to 25 consisting of datacenter and rack designers, lab managers, rack assemblers, system administrators, engineering purchasing, asset management, and configuration management staff. Coordinated with supply chain management on procurement of material.

The team responsibilities included ensuring program engineering staff had the right tooling (ex. DOORS servers, lab environments, program templates, etc.) to maintain the project on schedule and productive. Team also responsible for coordinating large deployments of hardware to customer sites all over the world, as well as assisting in logistics and site troubleshooting efforts.

Planned and executed defined tasks to program schedules to meet project and customer milestones resulting in satisfied customers which provided return business via extensions or follow on work.

Reported weekly and as requested to program managers providing regular communication and status of tasks.

March 2010 to March 2013. Section Manager Supervised a group ranging from 15 to 25 employees, as an engineering functional manager in a cross

matrix management organization structure, several of which were recognized as high performers by the company and which were spread across multiple programs and business areas in the Fullerton and Brea sites.

Communicated expectations and provided feedback to employees via interim and annual performance evaluations. Assisted employee’s development with setting goals, creating plans to achieve them, and measuring results, including management of their training plan. Provided support and guidance to direct

reports; dealt with personnel disciplinary actions as necessary in coordination with human resources; recognized and rewarded high performing teammates. Received 2012 Performance Development Excellence Award after nomination from direct reports.

Coordinated increases and reductions in staffing based on analysis of site wide staff planning and program needs by interfacing with human resources, program managers, and site leadership.

Participated on proposals to bring in new business by providing guidance to bidding teams, creating bidding documentation or reviewing basis of estimate documents created by direct reports.

Interfaced with facilities department for facility and building needs for both personnel and for site labs. April 2007 to February 2010. Lab Support Engineer Created, restructured and updated labs in support of software development, system integration and

system training for air defense information systems. Communicated with various groups and individuals to gather needs and provided flexible support occasionally during off peak times which helped projects start quickly, perform efficiently and complete on time.

Experienced as a lab manager, providing lab support for HPUX, Linux, and Windows computing environments. Proactively resolved issues, repaired and configured computer equipment to maintain lab environment functional for software development and test.

Responsible for compliance to policies regarding the labs. Supported multiple types of audits, including corporate process, quality assurance/ISO, and security as an information system security officer for a classified environment with minimal or no findings which kept costs down and projects on schedule.

Documented rules and operation of the labs by creating engineering notebooks. The documentation of the environment helped transitions between lab managers on projects and resolved user conflict from resource contention or other issues that arose from lab use.

Created, maintained and participated in the deployment of Local Area Network (LAN) configurations for isolated air defense computer networks. Implemented robust network systems with redundancy and different failover methods to provide reliable transport of data for critical real time environments.

Provided real-time analysis of data on the testing floor, guidance on test operation and troubleshooting of failures or anomalies of a weather satellite sensor. Provided support on all shifts (24/7) as part of rotating team which reduced lost time and effort due to collection of bad data, improved documentation of anomalous data and improved test success rate.

Created, corrected and/or updated test procedures, test automation scripting, and test reports for a weather satellite sensor. Deputy team lead for procedure creation team, helped manage 7 other employees. Presented status of team to management, Government customer and peers. Contributions helped recover schedule on program that had high visibility due to prior schedule problems.

Worked on development, calibration, integration and tests of a hyper spectral sensor, including lab efforts creating drivers and software in Labview for sensors, servo motors, optics and other hardware

components, helping meet milestones and budget on fast paced low budget internal research and development programs.
