Mascara de una Dirección IP
Combinación de bits que sirve para delimitar el ámbito de una red de
computadoras.
La máscara, es un valor que si le pasamos
a binario, solamente contiene ‘unos’ y
‘ceros' consecutivos,
• Clase A (8 bits de red) : 255.0.0.0
• Clase B (16 bits de red): 255.255.0.0
• Clase C (24 bits de red): 255.255.255.0

Cuando dividimos un ID de red existente para crear subredes adicionales, podemos utilizar cualquiera de las máscaras de subred.
