In the congressional session the Meeting of Political Coordination that Cordova Angel presides over approved an agreement point where the local legislative power will solicit that the commemorative ceremony of the civil hero Belisario Domínguez takes place in Chiapas.

Ø As it is already of the knowledge of the public opinion east event takes place the next month of October where tribute to the hero of the liberties native of Comitán Belisario surrenders Domínguez.

Ø Proselytism PRI-PVEM in Comitán represented an intense day where the Güero Velasco could prove that the Gleason not only has drag between viewer that touches it like if outside Luis Miguel, who requests to him to take with them the photo and they embrace it like if outside a friend of all the life.

Ø That we saw it in Pamalá, in the Club of Lions, Trinitaria and Comalapa, towns that were witnesses of the great concentrations that manage to attract the proposals of the Güero and the candidate of the alliance the First Mexico.

Ø Poorly it goes the country when not only the jodidos ones are trompudos with the poverty and the inequality that has been increased dangerously like never.

Ø Now many sectors average and high industrialists are that they trine because they do not see a policy of State to palliate the hard effects of the crisis.

Ø It is certain, the crisis, like all the previous ones, came to us from outside, but single in Mexico they have caused as much damage because public the government makes more propaganda than political.

Ø they do not know to govern, they have a cabinet of friends and nowadays nor the most informed and taste of the policy they can give three names of the members of the cabinet. They are so bad neither that nor its names we know.

Ø Because equal Mario is spoken of which the personal friend of Don Vázquez Raña and very followed by viewer of the country, Enrique Rock Grandson, will be in more of a closing of campaign placing the cherry to him to the pie tricolor in the village.

Ø Changing another subject we will say to them what from the week ancestor we have documented and had not commented everything an episode of disputes of businesses deprived with the money public, the contract awarding of work and the ridicule of the laws.

Ø Customary to cause that holly will in the oxen of my is fulfilled her godfather, the one of the small hat that is looked like Indiana Jones in one of its customary rabietas of andropausia has decided to end the birth of the State Institute of the Water, because after to have made glad ac-counts after obtaining that they assigned the institutional responsibility to him to control all work contracts of the state, it has mounted in rage whenever for strictly budgetary reasons (every time government federal not commands money it jeopardize with Chiapas, where there was an sub exercise of 60% that the federal deputies denounced, among them Rutilio Escandón, Martin Ramos and Toño Diaz Athie), the opportunity is reduced to him to appropriate itself the operation of works of temp-ting sectors of the power.

THINGS NEW I N T E R E S T I N G P E O P L E.

Victoria Penagos/Chiapas HoyCapping her tenure as the most controversial prime minister’s wife in recent memory, Che-rie Blair has written a best-selling memoir, Speaking for Myself, due out in the U.S. this month, which adds racy fuel to the fire. Far from backing down, she’s up for the next fight.

As usual, many commentators insist that Che-rie has only herself to blame. After all, nobo-dy forced her to share the details of how she got pregnant with Leo, her unplanned fourth child, at the age of 45. It seems that she and Tony were visiting the Queen for a bracing weekend at Balmoral, and Cherie left her “contraceptive equipment” at home becau-se she had been mortified on a previous stay when royal servants unpacked her clothing and toilet articles for her. The next time Che-rie went to Balmoral, she didn’t bring any contraception. Alas—Scottish castles get cold at night, Tony’s “really strong body” was warm, and “what with one thing and another,” as Cherie reported breezily in her book, the result was Leo, who is now eight years old.

Although the British media have gleefully mi-ned this new mother lode, it certainly hasn’t caused them to relinquish their death grip on Cherie’s previous incarnations. In another story about her parliamentary testimony, The Guardian helpfully itemized the harrowing litany that has characterized her public ima-ge. Although Tony stepped down as prime minister last year, the Blairs have since mor-phed into global citizens with an ever growing range: “Nor is it the money-grubbing, pro-perty-hoarding, freebie-grabbing, Gordon Brown–denouncing, new age flim-flam-be-lieving, statistics-mangling, warmongering, Bush-loving, contraceptive-leaving Blairs of the past. It’s the new, caring Blairs,” Simon Hoggart complained in a grumpy column.

Indeed, Cherie is now positioning herself as an international crusader for women’s rights, creating the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women even as Tony gallivants around the world trying to solve global warming, pro-

mote peace in the Middle East, teach a cour-se on faith and globalization at Yale Univer-sity, vanquish malaria on behalf of the Tony Blair Faith Foundation, and cash in as an adviser to the investment bank J. P. Morgan and the insurance firm Zurich, among other gigs. It’s enough to make your head spin.

But not Cherie’s. Her legal career is intact, the muzzle she wore as prime minister’s wife thankfully removed, her choices finally beyond the reach of the Downing Street staff that used to hang her out to dry, her opportunities to speak up multiplying in rich profusion, her lifelong terror of penury receding as the money rolls in.

The sniping never stops; her detractors have spent years exploiting her weaknesses, bom-barding her with the most wounding personal ridicule, staging ambushes and playing dirty tricks designed for maximum humiliation—even printing outright lies, according to Che-rie. But no matter what they say about her, she plows ahead, as relentless as a battleship that will not be deterred from her course no matter how many torpedoes are fired in her direction.

Britain was heartily sick of Tony Blair by the time he left office, but his successor’s “disas-trous first year,” as The Independent recently described it, has turned the welcome for dour Gordon Brown into fond nostalgia for the good old days of twinkly Tony. His reputation is being burnished once again, her book is a smash hit, and Cherie is laughing all the way to the bank.

“There’s no doubt about it—she will remain a public figure,” says one of her mother’s oldest friends, Di Wilson, who has known Cherie since she was an infant. “She wants to capitalize on what she’s achieved so far.”

The morning has been a bit fraught. The Blairs’ oldest child, 24-year-old Euan, is in Ja-pan on a business trip, but his new apartment, in London, has got water gushing through the ceiling fixtures from the apartment abo-ve. Cherie is trying to sort out the mess while calming Euan with soothing maternal noises,

like a mother bird cooing to her distressed fledgling by long-distance telephone. A visi-tor from Liberia who is supposed to stay at Euan’s flooded apartment has just walked into the Blairs’ house, a team of deliverymen is maneuvering a wrapped package that looks like a large piece of furniture through the front hall, I’m waiting for Cherie in the kitchen, po-licemen are changing shifts on the front steps, and staff members dart around trying to con-trol the traffic as if they were anxious Bor-der collies herding an unruly flock of sheep.

Looking entirely unfazed, Cherie gives me a rueful grin. “It’s like Piccadilly Circus all the time,” she says. “And of course my hus-band is blissfully unaware of any of this—because, frankly, they don’t call their dad.”

The older Blair children no longer live with their parents; 22-year-old Nicholas is teaching in Birmingham, and 20-year-old Kathryn is studying law at King’s College London. But the rest of the family is settling into their new, $7 million home on Connaught Square, a mag-nificent 200-year-old Georgian mansion facing the gated park, which is now guarded by wat-chful British officers. The Blairs also purcha-sed a $1.6 million mews house behind the main residence, renovating to combine the space.

These days Tony spends much of his time on the road. One afternoon I’m waiting for Cherie in a downstairs den when Tony, who returned from Singapore earlier in the day, wanders in, wearing running shorts and a sleeveless T-shirt. He looks so startled that I apologize for surprising him with my presen-ce. “I’m always surprised here,” he mutters.

Cherie suspects that some of her book sur-prised him, although he was supposed to have read it before publication. “I think he’s rather embarrassed by the love-affair bits,” she concedes. “I don’t think he par-ticularly read those closely. Been there, done that! He did read the political things.”

TO BE CONTINUE…
