Brief History of this award

El Premio Nobel de la Paz es uno de los cinco premios creados por el científico e inventor sueco Alfred Nobel. Este premio se otorga "a la persona que haya trabajado mejor en favor de la fraternidad entre las naciones, la abolición o reducción de los ejércitos y la celebración y promoción de los procesos de paz", según el testamento del propio Nobel.

(The Nobel Peace Prize is one of five prizes were created by the Swedish scientist and inventor Alfred Nobel. This award is given "to the person who has worked better for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace processes," according to the will of Nobel himself).

BREVE BIOGRAFIAMalala Yousafzai nació el 12 de julio de 1997, en Mingora, Pakistán. Cuando era niña, se convirtió en una defensora de la educación de las niñas, lo que dio lugar a que los talibanes la amenazaran de muerte. El 9 de octubre de 2012, un hombre armado disparó a Malala cuando viajaba a casa desde la escuela. Ella sobrevivió, y ha continuado hablando sobre la importancia de la educación. Fue nominada a un Premio Nobel de la Paz en 2013. En 2014, fue nominada de nuevo y ganó, convirtiéndose en la persona más joven en recibir el Premio Nobel de la Paz.

SHORT BIOGRAPHYMalala Yousafzai was born on July 12, 1997, in Mingora, Pakistan. As a child, she became an advocate for girls' education, which resulted in the Taliban issuing a death threat against her. On October 9, 2012, a gunman shot Malala when she was traveling home from school. She survived, and has continued to speak out on the importance of education. She was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize in 2013. In 2014, she was nominated again and won, becoming the youngest person to receive the Nobel Peace Prize.
