– Internal defects for both

– Small diameters to be cut to clean the plantation

– No business model due to the fact this case is a

very unique one : large plantation of hardwood in

Europe

– Walnut market is running, but is focussed on

Juglans nigra (China, Germany, Italy).

Blackwalnut (Regia) : very complex now. No

inquiry from the furniture industry. Small

companies (artisans) producing « Rustic »

furnitures have disappeared.

The only market is exportation looking for long

lengths (coloured woods) for decorations uses

Concerning veneers : no demand now in Italy

except for top grade logs
