PRESENTACIÓN

El Ministerio de Trabajo y Promoción del Empleo, a través de su Oficina de Estadística

y de la Dirección General de Derechos Fundamentales y Seguridad y Salud en el

Trabajo, presenta y difunde el tercer número del presente año 2013 “Boletín

Estadístico de Notificaciones de Accidentes de Trabajo, Incidentes Peligrosos y

Enfermedades Ocupacionales”, correspondiente al mes de marzo.

Los boletines publicados son un instrumento técnico de divulgación de la estadística

nacional de notificaciones efectuadas por los empleadores y centros médicos

asistenciales a través del Sistema Informático de Notificación de Accidentes de

Trabajo, Incidentes Peligrosos y Enfermedades Ocupacionales – SAT, alojado en el

portal institucional www.trabajo.gob.pe. Consecuentemente, la revisión de la

información sistematizada por parte de los interesados, contribuirá a una mejor gestión

de la problemática de la seguridad y salud en el trabajo en el país, facilitando la

adopción de oportunas medidas preventivas y correctivas.

En los datos estadísticos del mes de marzo de 2013, se pueden apreciar 1 271

notificaciones, de las cuales, el 89,46% corresponde a accidentes de trabajo, el 8,03%

a incidentes peligrosos, el 1,49% a accidentes de trabajo mortales y el 1,02% a

enfermedades ocupacionales. Por actividad económica, el mayor número de

notificaciones corresponde a Industrias Manufactureras, con el 30,61%, siguiendo en

importancia: Actividades Inmobiliarias, Empresariales y de Alquiler con el 15,58% y

Construcción con el 14,95%, entre otras.

Asimismo, según la información reportada en dicho período, las formas más comunes

en que se han ocasionado los accidentes de trabajo han sido debidas a golpes por

objetos (excepto caídas), esfuerzos físicos o falsos movimientos y caída de objetos.

Cabe precisar que en relación con el mes precedente se advierte un descenso en la

cantidad de notificaciones de accidentes de trabajo en las cuales los usuarios del SAT

han seleccionado la opción genérica "Otras Formas"; de lo cual se colige, que los

usuarios están haciendo un mejor uso de las diferentes categorías previstas bajo el

rubro “Forma del accidente”. Al respecto, se reitera la importancia de que los usuarios

continúen marcando la forma del accidente según las diversas opciones contenidas en

el formato respectivo -utilizando la opción genérica únicamente cuando sea el caso-

porque ello permite el desarrollo de mejores estrategias de prevención de riesgos

laborales en beneficio de los empleadores y trabajadores del país.

Accidentes Mortales por Región.- Para el presente mes de marzo se notificaron 19 accidentes mortales, concentrándose el 36,84% en Lima Metropolitana, prosiguiendo Callao con 26,32% y Junín (10,53%), entre otras regiones.

Accidentes de Trabajo por Región.- A nivel nacional se presentaron 1137 accidentes de trabajo en el mes de marzo, de los cuales el 80,12% correspondieron a Lima Metropolitana, continuando con las regiones Callao (11,70%), Lima (1,76%), entre otras regiones.

Incidentes Peligrosos por Región.- Se notificaron 102 incidentes peligrosos, de los cuales el 60,78% correspondieron a Lima Metropolitana, seguido de Arequipa con 11,76%, Ica (4,90%), entre otras regiones.

Enfermedades Ocupacionales por Región.- En el mes de marzo se diagnosticaron 13 casos de enfermedades ocupacionales, las cuales correspondieron a las regiones de Arequipa (38,46%), Ancash (30,77%), Cusco (15,38%), Lima y Huancavelica con 7,69% en cada región.

Notificaciones Según Actividad Económica.- De un total de 1271 notificaciones, se observa que el 89,46% corresponden a accidentes

de trabajo, seguido en orden decreciente por incidentes peligrosos (8,03%), accidentes mortales (1,49%) y, finalmente, enfermedades

ocupacionales (1,02%). Por otra parte, analizando las notificaciones según actividad económica el 30,61% corresponde a Industrias

Manufactureras, siguiendo en importancia las Actividades Inmobiliarias, Empresariales y de Alquiler (15,58%); Construcción (14,95%);

Comercio al por mayor y al por menor, Rep. Vehic, Autom (9,60%), Explotación de Minas y Canteras (8,03%); entre otras actividades

económicas.

Notificaciones, Según Categoría Ocupacional.- De las 1169 notificaciones que se presentaron en el mes de marzo, 588

correspondieron a la categoría ocupacional operario, de las cuales 577 fueron accidentes de trabajo, 4 accidentes mortales y

7 enfermedades ocupacionales; asimismo, 145 correspondieron a obreros, de los cuales 135 sufrieron accidentes de trabajo,

6 accidentes mortales y 4 enfermedades ocupacionales; siguiendo en importancia los empleados con 135 notificaciones

siendo 133 accidentes de trabajo y 2 accidentes mortales.

Accidentes de Trabajo por Sexo.- En el mes de marzo se presentaron 1137 notificaciones de accidentes de trabajo de los cuales

1052 corresponden al sexo masculino y 85 al femenino observándose que los trabajadores de sexo masculino sufren mayor

número de accidentes de trabajo que las del sexo femenino. Por otra parte, se puede apreciar que se ha presentado un descenso

en el número de notificaciones de accidentes de trabajo respecto al mes anterior.

Alquiler, entre otras. Según las formas más comunes de cómo se ocasionaron los accidentes de trabajo, se debieron a Golpes

por Objetos (18,47%), Esfuerzos Físicos o Falsos Movimientos (13,10%), entre otras formas.

de trabajo que han sido registrados, en orden decreciente, son: Herramientas (portátiles, manuales, mecánicas, eléctricas, etc.) con

(101); Máquinas y Equipos en General (75); Escalera (49) notificaciones; entre otros. Cabe señalar, que existe un alto número de

notificaciones en las cuales los centros médicos asistenciales seleccionan la categoría "Otros", por lo tanto no se puede determinar

en detalle el agente causante (577).

Accidentes de Trabajo, Según Parte del Cuerpo Lesionada.- De las 1137 notificaciones de accidentes de trabajo, 1052

correspondieron al sexo masculino y 85 al femenino. Las partes del cuerpo lesionadas en su mayor número fueron dedos de la mano

con 15,48%, seguido de ojos (con inclusión de los párpados, la órbita y el nervio óptico) con un 13,10%, entre otras partes del cuerpo.

Accidentes Mortales por Sexo.- Para el presente mes las notificaciones de accidentes mortales alcanzaron a 19 personas,

registrándose un aumento respecto al mes anterior. Es importante señalar que, hasta el mes de marzo del año 2013 se

registraron 54 accidentes mortales en la población masculina y 2 en la población femenina.

Accidentes Mortales por Actividad Económica, Según Forma del Accidente.- En el mes de marzo, las actividades

económicas que reportaron el mayor número de notificaciones de accidentes mortales fueron Actividades Inmobiliarias,

Empresariales y de Alquiler (26,32%), seguido de Explotación de Minas y Canteras (21,05%); Industrias Manufactureras

y Transporte, Almacenamiento y Comunicaciones con (15,79%) en cada actividad; entre otras actividades. Así mismo

las formas de accidente reportadas han sido las siguientes, con (2) notificaciones: Atropellamiento por Vehículos,

seguido de Caída de Personal de Altura, Caída de Objetos, Choque de Vehículos y Derrumbes o Desplomes de

Instalaciones con (1) en cada forma, entre otras formas.

Incidentes Peligrosos, Según Forma del Incidente.- Se presentaron 102 notificaciones de incidentes peligrosos, de los cuales

Atrapamiento Sin Daño y Usar Equipos, Máquinas Inadecuadas tienen el mayor número con 1,96% cada una. Cabe señalar que

el 91,18% de incidentes se encuentran concentradas en la categoría "Otras".

Enfermedades Ocupacionales por Meses de Certificación Médica Reportada.- Las certificaciones médicas reportadas en el

mes de marzo fueron (6), presentándose un aumento respecto al mes anterior. Por otra parte, hasta el mes marzo del año 2013 se

han notificado un total de 11 certificaciones médicas de enfermedades ocupacionales todas del sexo masculino.

Enfermedades Ocupacionales, Según Tipo de Enfermedad.- Se notificaron 13 enfermedades ocupacionales de las cuales todas

corresponden al sexo masculino. Según el tipo de enfermedad, la mayor cantidad la presenta la Silicosis (30,77%), seguido de la

Hipoacusia o Sordera Provocada por el Ruido y Lumbago con 23,08% para cada tipo de enfermedad, seguido por la Varices en Miembros

Inferiores (7,69%), entre otras.
