These are the 11 committees specialized in different areas that take part of ZICOSUR, which in different spaces, places and countries got together during this 2015 in order to make a series of intensive work meetings that seek to boost the development of the region and strengthen the integration ties among the countries that are part of ZICOSUR. Common goals for ZICOSUR thematic committees gathered in Bolivia. Project of strategic planning of infrastructure was highlighted in Meeting 2015
The representatives of the ZICOSURTourism and Infrastructure Committeesworked during the ZICOSUR Meeting2015 that was held in Antofagasta.Here, it stood out the ZICOSURInfrastructure Strategic Planning Projecton the improvement and update of the“ZICOSUR Study of Connectivity andTransport System”. In addition, theproposal “Un Proyecto, Cinco Países”(A Project, Five Countries in its Englishtranslation) was presented. An idea thataims to modernize the railway system,through an electric train, among theChilean northern ports over the PacificOcean alongside the rail network ofnorthern Argentina and by through it,also, to transport the loads from Brazil,Bolivia and Paraguay, which come fromthe Paraguay and Paraná rivers to theriver port of Barranqueras, in theargentine province of Chaco”.The Tourism Committee agenda wasmainly based on a workshop, in whichevery region or geographic arearepresented in this committee gave anaccount of their tourist offers, ensuringto generate integrated tourist circuitsthat provide even more spurs for theinternational tourists who visit theIntegration Zone of West Central SouthAmerica.

Durante el Encuentro ZICOSUR 2015realizado en Antofagasta, sesionaronlos integrantes de la Comisión deTurismo y Comisión de Infraestructurade la ZICOSUR." En esta última destacó el Proyecto dePlanif icación Estratégica de laInfraestructura de la ZICOSUR a travésdel mejoramiento y actualización delEstudio de Conectividad y Sistema deTransporte de ZICOSUR". En formaespecial se presentó la propuesta "Un
Proyecto, Cinco Países", que pretendemodernizar el sistema ferroviario -mediante un tren eléctrico"- entrepuertos del norte de Chile, sobre elocéano Pacífico, con la red ferroviariadel Norte de Argentina y, a través deésta, transportar también las cargas deBrasil, Bolivia y Paraguay que lleguenpor los ríos Paraguay y Paraná al puertofluvial de Barranqueras, en la provinciaargentina del Chaco.
El temario de la Comisión de Turismose basó en un taller de trabajo, en elque cada región o área geográficarepresentada en esta Comisión diocuenta de sus ofertas turísticas,procurando generar circuitos turísticosintegrados, que ofrezcan aún mayoresincen t i vos pa ra l os tu r i s t asinternacionales que visiten la Zona deIntegración del Centro Oeste de Américadel Sur.
El 22 de abril se realizó una reuniónde la Comisión de Cultura, Museosy Patrimonio de la Zona deIntegración del Centro Oeste deAmérica del Sur (ZICOSUR), en elmarco de FILZC 2015.
El 5 de mayo se efectuó la reuniónde la Comisión Agropecuaria –Agroalimentaria, realizada en Salta– Argentina, en el marco de FERINOA2015.

A meeting of the Culture Committee,museums and heritage of IntegrationZone of West Central South America(ZICOSUR, as its acronym in Spanish)was held on April 22nd, within theframework of FILZIC 2015 (stands forZICOSUR International Book Fair inEnglish).
El 15 de junio la Comisión de Turismode la ZICOSUR, se reunió en CiudadTermas de Río Hondo, Provincia deSantiago del Estero, Argentina. Fuepresidida por Miguel Quezada,Director Regional (S) de SERNATUR,en representación de la PresidenciaPro Témpore ZICOSUR, que ejercee l In tendente Reg iona l deAntofagasta.
El 27 de agosto se reunió en la ciudadde Iquique, Chile, la Comisión Temáticade Infraestructura y Servicios Conexosde la ZICOSUR. En la ocasión seabordaron temas referidos al estadode la infraestructura vial, ferroviariay portuaria en esta Zona de Integracióny especialmente en la Región deAntofagasta, a través de las rutasinternacionales por los Pasos de Jamay Sico, con Argentina, y de Ollagüe eHito Cajón, con Bolivia, así como porlos ferrocarriles internacionales conSalta y con Bolivia.

On Thursday August 27th theZICOSUR Thematic Committee ofInfrastructure and Related Servicesgot together in the city of Iquique,Chile. The topics discussed in thisevent were related to the currentstate of road, railroad and portinfrastructure in this integration zone,especia l ly in the Region ofAntofagasta through the internationalroutes of Sico Pass and Jama Passwith Argentina, Ollagüe and HitoCajon Pass with Bolivia, as well asthe international railways with Saltaand Bolivia.
El 26 de Septiembre, tres comisionesde trabajo de la Zona de Integracióndel Centro Oeste de América del Sur(ZICOSUR) sesionaron en la ciudad deSanta Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. Elobjetivo fue avanzar en iniciativas quepermitan incrementar el comercio,tanto internamente como a mercadosinternacionales, el turismo intraregionaly receptivo desde el exterior, más otrasoportunidades de negocios para lasmás de 40 regiones, provincias yestados subnacionales que integranesta organización. Las comisiones quesesionaron en esta oportunidad fueronlas de Infraestructura y ServiciosConexos, de Turismo y la de Industriay Comercio.
On September 26th, three workingcommittees of the Integration Zone ofWest Central South America (ZICOSUR,as its acronym in Spanish) worked inthe city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra inBolivia. The goal was to take initiativesforward so these could allow tradeincrease, both internal ly andinternational markets, intraregionaland receptive tourism from abroad,plus more business opportunities formore than 40 regions, provinces andsubnational states that take part ofthis organization. The committees thatworked on this occasion wereInfrastructure and Related Services,Tourism, and Industry and Trade.
En Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Bolivia),se realizó también el 2° Encuentro deÁreas Protegidas de la ZICOSUR,oportunidad en la que además sereunió la Comisión de Medio Ambientede la ZICOSUR.
En la ocasión se solicitó a los distintosgobiernos regionales integrantes dela Zona de Integración enviar a laSecretaría Pro Tempore un registrode contactos directos para elin te rcambio permanente deinformación y se propuso completarlos datos necesarios para fortalecerla Red Regional de Cambio Climáticoy que cada Estado miembro haga lavaloración económica de los beneficiosde las Áreas Protegidas.
The 2nd Meeting of the ProtectedAreas of ZICOSUR took place in SantaCruz de la Sierra (Bolivia) as well,opportunity in which the EnvironmentalCommittee of ZICOSUR also gathered.Here, they asked several RegionalGovernments, that were part of theIntegration Zone, send a registrationof directs contacts to provide thepermanent exchange of information,and it was proposed to complete allthe necessary information forimproving the National Network ofClimate Change, and also for eachmember State to make an economicvaluation of the benefit of the protectedareas.
La comisión agropecuaria de laZona de integración del CentroOeste de América del Sur(ZICOSUR) sesionó en Tarija-Bolivia, determinando trabajar dem a n e r a c o n j u n t a e n t r einstituciones y autoridadesregionales de Brasil, Bolivia,Argentina y Chile, para frenar laenfermedad Huanglongbing (HLB)que afecta la producción decítricos.
