El año 2015 es muy especial para Casco Antiguo pues celebramos nuestro 40 aniversario.

Recuerdo bien cuando empezamos con este negocio, como muchos otros, en un pequeño sótano del centro Madrid, fabricando trajes de neopreno para un reducido grupo de “locos” que, en aquellos tiempos tenían la osadía de meterse en el desconocido mundo submarino para obtener sensaciones diferentes y muy poco experimentadas hasta ese momento.

Poco a poco ese mundo, sólo abierto a intrépidos exploradores, se fue abriendo a más gente, hasta convertirse en una actividad muy popular en nuestros días. Las mejoras en los equipos y en la seguridad han conseguido que el mundo submarino esté al alcance de cualquier per-sona con ganas de vivir una aventura.

Gracias al gran desarrollo que tuvo el sector en estos años, Casco Antiguo también experi-mentó una gran metamorfosis, convirtiéndose en una empresa moderna, líder en el sector y con presencia multinacional.

Hoy, os queremos presentar de forma gráfica quiénes somos, qué hacemos y a dónde que-remos llegar en el futuro. Para ello hemos creado este dossier corporativo en el que os pre-sentamos de forma conjunta las diferentes divisiones de nuestra empresa y os animamos a contar con nosotros.

Todas estas líneas de productos están marcadas por una serie de características comunes que son el sello de nuestra empresa.

En primer lugar todas ellas tienen una vinculación directa al mar y a las aguas interiores. So-mos especialistas en la actividad acuática y en este medio queremos desarrollar toda nuestra actividad comercial.

En segundo lugar todas las líneas están encaminadas al asesoramiento a nuestros clientes, la venta de material y a sus servicios asociados como reparación y mantenimiento, alquiler, formación, etc.

Queremos ser los mejores en cada una de estas áreas y para conseguirlo tenemos un grupo de expertos en cada una de ellas. Los directores de cada departamento son personas que llevan muchos años desarrollando su actividad, que la conocen muy bien y que, sobre todo, son entusiastas en lo que hacen. Estoy convencido de que tenemos a los mejores especialistas en cada una de las divisiones de Casco Antiguo.

Desde el nacimiento de la empresa, uno de los objetivos que nos marcamos fue el desarrollo de nuestros propios productos y su comercialización bajo nuestras marcas. Hoy en día segui-mos manteniendo esta política y disponemos de líneas de producto propias en cada una de las divisiones, desarrolladas por nuestros expertos y probadas con éxito en el mercado. Par-ticularmente potentes son Subacqua y TDS que, bajo las premisas de la mejora, la innovación y la evolución constante han alcanzado un punto de desarrollo excepcional, adaptándonos al mercado y a nuestras metas.

Antes de despedirme me gustaría dedicar unas palabras al lugar que nos permite trabajar, que nos da de comer, que nos acoge para que podamos pasar un rato agradable o desarrollar nuestra actividad profesional: el mar. Conozcámoslo, respetémoslo, cuidémoslo.

2015 is a very especial year for Casco Antiguo as we celebrate our 40th anniversary.

I clearly recall when we started this business, as like with many others, in a small basement in the center of Madrid, making neoprene suits for a reduced group of “crazy people” who at those times dared to plunge themselves in the unknown underwater world to experience different and very little experimented thrills up to this moment.

Step by step that world only open to intrepid explorers, started to open to more people until it became a very popular activity nowadays. The improvement in diving equipment and in security have brought about the marine world within reach of any person longing to live an adventure.

Thanks to the great development which this sector had during these years, Casco Antiguo also experienced a great transformation converting itself into a modern company leader in the sector and with multinational presence.

Today, we want to present in a graphic way who we are, what we do and what goal we want to reach in the future. For this purpose we have created this corporate dossier wherein we present ourselves altogether with the different divisions of our company and we encourage you to count with us.

All these product lines are marked by a series of common characteristics which is the seal of our company.

Firstly, all of them have a direct link to the sea and to interior waters. We are specialists in marine activity and in this environment we want to develop all our commercial activity.

Secondly, all lines are directed to advising our clients, sale of material, and to its associated services, such as repair and maintenance, rent, training, etc.

We want to excel and be the best in each of these areas and to be able to succeed we have a group of experts in each one of them. The managers of each department are persons who for many years have been developing their activity, therefore they know very well their jobs and over all, they are great enthusiasts in what they do. I am convinced that we have the best specialists in each one of the divisions of Casco Antiguo.

Since the birth of the company, one of the objectives we marked ourselves was the development of our own proper products and its commercialization under our brands. Nowadays we continue to maintain this policy and we dispose of own proper product lines in each one of the divisions, developed by our experts and successfully tested in the market. Particularly strong are Subacqua and TDS which under premises of improvement, innovation and constant evolution have reached a point of exceptional development, adapting ourselves to the market and to our goals.

Before bidding farewell, I would like to dedicate some words to the place which allows us to work, which is a source of our food, who welcomes us so we may have a nice time or develop our professional activity: the sea, Let us get to know it, respect it, take care of it.
