GEA ComboGrind 1500/250 in-line grinder
The GEA ComboGrind 1500/250 is a robust industrialgrinder for coarse and fine grinding of fresh meat, fish andpre-blends. It features an infeed hopper with agitator thatholds up to one ton (whole Combo- or Eurobins) of pre-ground meat. It is ideal for hamburgers, sausages andother quality ground meat products.
PULSATION-FREE GRINDINGThe hopper’s slowly rotating stirring wings ensure constantinfeed of product to the grinder section for pulsation-freegrinding and consistent quality. The wings are designed to avoidaccumulation of larger meat trimmings.
RANGE OF TOOLSTo cover a range of grinding applications, 3 and 5 piece knife setsare available with a fixed pre-cutter to reduce pressure on theknife set. This reduces wear and heat build-up. The cut kniveshave a positive cutting angle to ensure clean cutting, excellentgrinding and minimum wear. The modular design is based on theGEA UniGrind 250, and features belt-drive adjustment fromoutside the cabinet to simplify maintenance.

[1] Pre-grinding of fresh trimmings and pre-broken frozen meat; [2] Final grinding of fresh product[3] S (short worm) versions. GEA ComboGrind 1500/250-L is 2212 mm (87.1”) deep
Options include differential speed dosing with weighing systems, and level and temperature controls that facilitate automation.
HARD PARTICLE REMOVALThe optional GEA UniBes sorting device automatically removesbone, gristle and other hard particles with minimal meat loss. Itcollects and accumulates the particles at programmable intervals, then pneumatically ejects them before returning to its collectingposition.
BOOSTER PUMPThe optional GEA VanePump positive displacement pumpmodule fits between the worm and knife set to boost capacityand eliminate backwash, and thus improve particle definitionand product contrast. It also increases the capacity by up to100%, even with small-hole plates and viscous products.
YOUR PERFORMANCE BENEFITS• Robust, enclosed and easy-to-clean cabinet
• Clamp system for fast mounting/dismounting ofgrinding headss
• Easy access to transmission with drive belt adjustedfrom outside of cabinet
• Modular concept with easily exchangeable parts
GEA ComboGrind in actionMeat trimmings, pre-ground meat or pre-blends for sausages, hamburgers orsalami are loaded from Combo- or Eurobins into the hopper. A stirring device slowlyrotates the hopper to ensure constant infeed of product into the grinder section, where the grinder worm transfers it to the compression lining and cutting set.
