Es por esta única razón que el dirigir a un clown resulta de gran dificultad, pues en su aventura infinita va descubriendo su propio universo, desarrolla su propio discurso y, en medida de sus posibilidades, su virtuosismo o sus capacidades.

Para ello, el clown explora todas las vías y lenguajes posibles para expresar sus ideas y dar a conocer su muy peculiar visión del mundo”

Aziz Gual graduado en Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Clown College, ha complementado su carrera con; técnica Lecoq, en clases magistrales con Marcel Marceau, técnicas de circo y clown en la Ecole du Cirque Space Catastrophe en Bruselas Bélgica. Es discípulo del artista laureado del Circo Ruso Anatoli Locachtchouk.

Ha participado en “El espectáculo más grande del mundo “Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Circus en México, E.U.A. y Canadá. Fue colaborador en la creación del Proyecto “Circo del mundo” del Cirque Du Soleil en México.

Es fundador y director de la comapñia de teatro de calle “Cumbre Clown”, con la que ha creado una decena de espectáculos. Ha realizado giras por distintos paises en Festivales Internacionales con sus espectaculos “Huraclown” y “De Risa en Risa”. Como en E.U., Turkia, Italia, Francia, Croacia, Argentina, Brasil, Costa Rica y en inumerables festivales en su pais nativo, México.

Ha impartido catedra de clowneria en el proyecto “Hacia una construcción metodológico de las artes del circo” en el Centro Nacional de las Artes, INBA. Ha impulsado el arte del hiumor impartiendo diplomados cursos y visitas de risaterapia en hospitales y en diferentes programas, sociales, culturales u filantrópicos en nuestro país y en el extranjero.

Recibio el premio “Wolf Rubinskis” de la Asociación Mexicana de Criticos de Teatro AMCT como Mejor Actuacón Juvenil Masculina por la obra “Yo Sin Ti...” de su propia autoria.

Es creador tambien del espectáculo de Clown de gran formato “La Bola Risa” con una exitosa temporada de 6 meses en el Teatro Julio Castillo, fue invitado especial en el espectáculo, “Latin Tango” en el Lunario del Auditorio Nacional.

Aziz Gual actualmente trabaja en el programa Alas y Raices a los Niños, CONACULTA. Y con Bellas Artes en el programa Nacional del Teatro Escolar con la firme convicción de que la risa es primordial para la construcción de una mejor sociedad.

Aziz Gual graduated from the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Clown College. He has complemented his career with courses such as the Lecoq Technique seminars, Master classes by French mime extraordinaire Marcel Marceau, as well as Circus and Clown techniques at the École du Cirque Éspace Catastrophe in Brussels, Belgium. He is also a student of the renowned Russian circus artist, Anatoli Locachtchouk.

Aziz Gual has been a company member of the “Greatest Show on Earth” hosted by the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, and has traveled throughout Mexico, the United States and Canada. He collaborated in the creation of the project “Circus of the World” which was developed and performed in Mexico by the famed Cirque du Soleil.

He is founder and director of the street theater company “Cumbre Clown” with whom he has masterminded and performed an impressive number of spectacles. He has toured the world’s festivals visiting countries like the U.S., Turkey, Italy, France, Croatia, Argentina, Brazil and Costa Rica with his international shows “Huraclown” and “De Risa en Risa” (“From Laugh to Laugh”), as well as countless festivals in Mexico, his native country.

He taught the art of clowning in the project,“Towards a methodological construction of Circus Arts” at the National Center for the Arts, INBA. He promotes the art of humor through his classes and his visits to hospitals and other social, cultural and philanthropic programs in Mexico and abroad.

He received the Rubinskis Wolf award from the Mexican Association of Theater Critics AMCT for Best Young Actor in a play of his own creation, “Yo Sin Ti”.

He is the creator of the large-scale clown show, “La Bola Risa” with a successful 6 month run at the Julio Castillo theater. He was a special guest at the show, “Latin Tango” at the National Auditorium Lunario.

Aziz Gual is currently working on the program Alas y Raices Children, CONCULTA, and with Bellas Artes at the National Theater School program in the belief that laughter is essential to building a better society.

HUMOR EN CUBOS _ Es un proyecto en donde el lenguaje individual del clown muestra todo su potencial creativo y el universo que lo circunda, en un espectacúlo. Plantea la posibilidad de convertir en realidad un malabarismo de la plástica, del humor y de la música. Un enorme cubo compuesto por algunos cubos de un metro cúbico. Cada vez que se giran los cubos se articulan en diferentes imágenes o impresiones sobre las caras intervenidas por un clown que se enfrenta a una infinita batalla de conflictos y posibilidades estéticas en un sueño interminable.

HUMOR IN CUBES _ A project in which the individual language of the clown reveals his creative potential and the universe that surrounds him. He introduces the possibility of converting reality with the juggling the art, humor and music. A large cube made up of a number of cubes of one cubic meter are used. Every time you turn, the faces of the cubes form different images or impressions that intervene with the clown as he confronts a battle of continuous conflict and aesthetic possibilities in an endless dream.

HURACLOWN _ Unipersonal de clown, Aziz construye un espectáculo de clown en una espiral que pervierte la infancia de los adultos y sacude las emociones de los niños. Se trata de sumergirse en la escénica humana, con provocaciones simples y paradójicamente complejas. Siete números de clown que nos llevan a una exquisita degustación de emociones, Aziz nos muestra los humores y comportamientos que caben en el instante poético del clown, sin duda también veremos en la pista ejercicios virtuosos con elementos excéntricos, que tienden un puente al olor del aserrín y los elefantes.

HURACLOWN _ A one-man show where Aziz builds a clown in a spiral that separates children from adults and stirs their emotions. It is immersed in the human stage, with paradoxically simple and complex provocations. Seven clown numbers lead us to a tasting of exquisite emotions where Aziz shows the moods and behaviors that fit into the poetic moment. Aziz shows us the moods and behaviors that fit into the poetic moment of the clown. No doubt, we will see the virtuous excercises of eccentric elements that connect the smell of sawdust to the smell of elephants.

DE RISA EN RISA es un espectáculo con el virtuosismo de Aziz Gual que lleva a su público de niños y adultos por el camino de las risas desde la más sutil hasta la gran carcajada.Aziz camina por una emocionante secuencia de números de clown, actos de destreza circense, con elementos excéntricos (monociclo, balancismo, malabarismo, instrumentos musicales). Finalmente Aziz buscara su personalidad en distintas mascara y mediante un juego de sorprendentes contrastes se encontrará a si mismo. La interacción con el público es la llave mágica en la técnica del clown, este espectáculo hace gala de ello.

DE RISA EN RISA _ A show with the virtuosity of Aziz Gual who takes his audience of children and adults through subtle to roaring moments of laughter. Aziz walks through an exciting sequence of clown numbers and circus acts of skill with eccentric elements (monocycle, balancing, juggling, musical instruments). YO SIN TI ... Durante una larga noche un par de siameses tienen un sueño “se separan” e inesperadamente se ven enfrentados a las grandes contradicciones de la individualidad, sumergidos en el sueño, viven experiencias alucinantes, llenas de contrastes, vulnerabilidad, fracaso. Cada uno lucha incasablemente por adquirir un lugar en el mundo, sin reservas buscan ser aceptados por los espectadores... y descubren que nada es mejor que lo que han sido, entonces deciden aceptarse y “ser lo que son” unicos irremplazables.

YO SIN TI _ During one long night a pair of conjoined twins have a dream that they separate. They are unexpectedly confronted with the great contradictions of individuality. Immersed in the dream, their amazing experiences are full of contrasts, vulnerability and failure. Everyone fights tirelessly to acquire a place in the world, seeking to be accepted unreservedly by the audience only to discover that they are uniquely irreplaceable, and there is nothing better than to be accepted for who they are.

LA BOLA RISA ... Un extraño personaje llega a la tierra accidentalmente, las circunstancias le obligan a establecer contacto con los espectadores... “NO SABE HABLAR” entonces debe buscar la forma de comunicarse. Desde que desciende de la nave y abre la escotilla, sucumbe frente a los espectadores una búsqueda incansable por el saludo preciso y la comunicación no verbal. Nos sumergimos en el universo de sus pensamientos hasta envolvernos en sus disparates de círculos, bolas y esferas de todos tamaños y con todos los significados.Viendo su fracasado intento por ser una persona “NORMAL”

LA BOLA RISA _ A strange character arrives on Earth by accident, and circumstances force him to make contact with the audience... he cannot speak so a way to communicate must be found. From the time the spacecraft lands and the hatch is open, the audience succumbs to an endless search for clear, nonverbal communication. They dive into the world of the stranger’s thoughts until they are engaged in his absurdities of circles and spheres of all sizes and significance. Cumbre Clown

La compañía de Aziz Gual desarrolla un laboratorio continuo de exploración, creando espectáculos temáticos y desarrollando ideas lúdicas, principalmente para espacios no convencionales, y espectáculos de calle, nuestro principal objetivo es crear atmósferas imaginarias con elementos inesperados, construir experiencias extraordinarias con el lenguaje del humor sin palabras, y transgredir los estados de los espectadores.

Fue creada en al año 2001, y se ha presentado en la Muestra National de Teatro, el Festival de Teatro de Calle de Zacatecas, y el Festival Cumbre Tajin, entre muchas otras participaciones.


Cumbre Clown

In a laboratory of artistic exploration and experimentation, Aziz Gual and his troupe of collaborators develop theme shows with playful ideas especially for unconventional places and street shows. Their main objective is to create a fantastical atmosphere with unexpected elements, to build extraordinary experiences without words through humor and to defy the imaginations of the spectators.

Cumbre Clown was created in 2001 and has performed at the National Theatre Festival in Mexico City, the Street Theatre Festival in Zacatecas, the Cumbre Tajin Festival and many other places.

Talleres y PonenciasHoy es a el clown a quien le toca enfocar su arte y su enseñanza a los campos de acción de las sociedades contemporáneas, como herramienta metodológica, de desarrollo, y de crecimiento individual en las necesidades del mundo actual.

Frente a las carencias y difíciles crisis, el humor emerge como una medicina, como una alternativa esperanzadora, como un mecanismo que obliga a crecer, que salva la sustancia esencial de la vida, el derecho de ser y de reír, la risa es un bálsamo de protección frente al dolor, es el alimento del corazón y el simple amor a la vida.
