WHY?

VISION

“Conventional Agriculture is not sustainable because it depends heavily on petroleum based fertilizers and pesticides.” - ISCOWP

Introduction

Agrarian Organics is the manufacturing and sales outlet for AO®

Products.

The company began in 2011 with likeminded business partners seek-

ing a worthy alternative to the dated, dangerous, and non- sustainable

methods used in food and livestock production. Fueled by their shared

vision to promote the safe, effective and simple farm-life principles of

past agrarian civilizations, they launched Agrarian Organics and its line

of ocean-harvested trace mineral products designed to safely replace

the use of chemical fertilizers.

Agrarian Organics Inc. is based out of Vancouver, BC, Canada, and has

manufacturing and shipping outlets in Vancouver, BC and Seattle, WA,

USA. To date, Agrarian Organics products are sold in over 500 locations

(including Whole Foods and Safeway) throughout the US, Canada, and

the UK at a variety of retail outlets with national rollout strategies with

several large retailers across these markets. World-wide, global distribu-

tion is planned by the end of 2014. Additionally, our chicken feed prod-

ucts are currently being successfully used by organic chicken farmers.

Decades of shortsighted industrial farming practices have left

our soil damaged, our water polluted, and our food severely

depleted of nutrients. We aim to inspire logical thinking about

the methods used to grow food, and to make switching to

safe, organic growing practices both simple and risk free for

both farmers and home gardeners alike.

It’s been said that every generation has something to fight for.

Ours is food. The quality of our food is in a rapid decline due

to a number of threatening factors, not the least of which

is the overuse of harmful pesticides and chemical fertilizers

that, over the years, have depleted the rich mineral content

of the soil we depend on so heavily to nourish our crops

and feed our livestock. By replenishing the soil with added

minerals, active bacteria, and nutrients, we are on our way to

repairing our damaged ecosystem and securing the future of

our food sources. Eventually, we envision a generation (and

hopefully generations) of farmers, families, and individuals,

employing safe and sustainable organic growing methods to

grow the food we eat. Agrarian Organics is poised to deliver

its AO® products directly to farmers and poultry providers,

thus improving the way we grow, sustainably.

A (very brief) primer to why we need AO® and trace minerals

Since the beginning of the so-called “Green Revolution,” a new

paradigm of modern industrial agriculture was introduced. It

promised the elimination of fungal and bacterial pathogens,

reduction of insects and pests, and eradication of weeds from the

fields by means of poisonous chemical fertilizers. With this new

paradigm, soil condition became poor and plants were left in a

weakened and nutritionally deficient state.

As we can see today, the “promises” of modern agriculture have

not been fulfilled. Indeed, today agriculture faces even more severe

challenges than it did in the past. Disease, insects, and weeds have

all continued to flourish, proliferate and grow stronger, rapidly

developing resistance to an endless succession of newer and even

stronger, more harmful pesticides.

This self-perpetuating cycle has come at a cost that is greater than

many realize. The true cost begins with the bill of goods sold to the

farmer, followed by the seldom-considered environmental costs

of producing such materials and delivering them to the farm. Even

greater and more disastrous, has been the cost of soil degradation.

In time, the growth cycle produced through the use of synthetic

chemical fertilizers causes the soil to lose its organic materials and

subsequently, ever-increasing quantities of fertilizers are needed to

achieve their desired results. Both the costs and the hazards increase.

This situation has resulted in crops that contain far lower levels of

minerals and vitamins that, prior to the only recent instigation of

the current “Green Revolution,” were more abundant in our food

supply. It has been well documented that plants, in fact all life

forms, require a broad diversity of trace minerals to be healthy and

effectively fight disease. These trace elements have become severely

depleted in our soils and in our crops as a result of recent agricultural

practices.

In order to build a regenerative agriculture that focuses on rebuilding

soil and restoring plant health to its former high level of inherent

potential we need to find a way to replace the dense nutrition and

trace minerals missing from our soil. AO® has the way.

In our business, we’ve used our environmentally friendly, patented

technology to harvest deep ocean minerals supplements in a variety

of applications and continue to experience profound results with all

varieties of plants, crops, and livestock. Our research indicates that

the results cannot be easily replicated using other substances. AO®

products are unique.

AO® supplements are an integral, even imperative, part of restoring

agricultural potential. The benefits of using AO® supplements are

vast and include a reduction in costs to farmers, implicating them as

an indispensable tool in agricultural restoration. It’s time for AO®!

Farming

AO® provides farmers with the compounds needed to obtain

better yields, ensure quality and freshness and maintain

optimum soil fertility. AO® have been used extensively in both

the developed and developing world; substantially improving

yields, increasing drought and cold tolerance, rebuilding soil

fertility, and boosting plant health.

Enhanced nutrient uptake, improved keeping qualities,

higher Brix readings and reduction in insect and disease

damage allows farmers to safely reduce NPK application

and simultaneously provide customers with the highest

quality and taste possible, all at a very low cost. AO®

augments organic practices by providing the ocean’s wealth

of elemental and complex carbon compounds. This results

in production and nutrition never before seen in modern

agriculture.

Based on minimal applications of 2 gallons per acre, applied

at two intervals per growing season (1 gallon at planting and 1

gallon midseason) AO® consistently demonstrates:

Average crop yield increase of 15% to 35%

Shortened growing cycle

Reduced drought stress

Reduced cold stress

Reduced over watering stress

Improved nutrient uptake

Improved soil tilth and aeration

Using AO® makes it possible to reduce fertilizer inputs

and improve soil micro flora populations. Over a 2 year

period of supplementing his crops with AO®, a popcorn

farmer (shown in table) reduced his harmful nitrogen

inputs by 30% while increasing his yields above the state

average.

AO® was introduced at the beginning of year 2. During the same period potassium input was also

reduced by 7.5%. In year 3 the crop came in 2 weeks earlier than others planted in the area. This a typical

trait of crops treated with AO®.

AO® recommends reducing your inputs by at least 10% each year, but not exceeding 20% in any given

year. Both crops and soil differ depending on a variety of factors, location and weather may dictate

necessary adjustments in quantity and frequency of application.

AO® is an inexpensive, yet invaluable

addition to any hydroponic application.

Hydroponics

Given the limited access to overall nutrition and otherwise sterile

environment of hydroponic operations, AO® are found to be

especially useful by providing an entire spectrum of missing

nutrients unrivaled by any other product or application on the

market.

It can be used as a foliar feed and is a potent and cost effective

choice for all soilless applications. At a 1% or 2% solution, nothing

rivals trace mineral supplementation in cost or performance. Not

only does AO® provide essential nutrition, but it contains naturally

occurring ionized potassium that cause stoma guard cells to open,

eliminating the need for additional and expensive surfactants or

absorption products.

Whether used as a foliar feed or added to a reservoir,

supplementing soil with otherwise missing nutrients, helpful

bacteria and minerals provided by AO®, virtually all your feeding

and input requirements can be supplied by just one, inexpensive,

environmentally safe, sustainably harvested product.

Page 7: AO Presentation

Livestock & Poultry

Because we feed on both plants and animals, and both of those food

sources feed on currently nutritionally deficient soil, livestock and

poultry is also in need of trace mineral supplementation. All cellular

life can assimilate much more trace nutrition that what it is being fed.

It simply needs to be available.

Supplementing trace minerals to animals is common practice, and the

mineral, or element in salt form, is generally tailored for the particular

animal. With this current practice, trace minerals added to animal feed

come in the form of industrialized or synthetic salts. Rarely, if ever,

are they offered as a natural mineral. Macro minerals, such as calcium

carbonate, may come in natural form, but lack bioavailability and as

such are poorly assimilated by the animal. In addition to their lack of

acceptable bioactivity, industrial salts are typically processed by treating

rocks with acid. Through the assistance of microbes and enzymes

plants can break down industrial salts, but animals, including humans,

are not as equipped to break down these elements; the best means of

absorbing minerals is through food— real food.

AO Feed fills this gap with its patented 89 trace mineral elements

and carbon compounds. It’s easy to use and can be used in multiple

applications; in drinking water, added directly to feed, or as part of a

holistic approach, used as a foliar or drench application to the grasses,

legumes, oil seeds and other animal feed. Because AO® are naturally

occurring and derived from ocean water, applying it to food bearing

crops, grown for animals or people, is the best way to assimilate

minerals into the body.

AO Feed provides the essential nutrients animals need for metabolic

functions such as growth and development, immunity and reproduction.

Even moderate deficiencies can adversely impact animal performance.

The following chart provides information about the various functions of

each trace mineral, as well as signs of a trace mineral deficiency.

LIVESTOCK

2007: A dairy farmer in Vermont treated part of his fields with AO

Feed. He said that whenever the cows were turned into the AO Feed

treated fields to graze, the butterfat content of their milk would increase

noticeably.

2008: A farmer in the Midwest did a test with a 4 acre hay field. AO

Feed was used on one half of the field and the other half received

only normal fertilization. Later in the season cattle were turned loose

into the field. The cows ate the forage in the AO® treated portion of

the field down to the ground before they moved over to graze on the

conventionally treated half of the field. In this case the greener grass that

the cows preferred was not on the other side of the fence.

2008: A certified organic dairy farm in the Midwest treated their hay

fields with AO Feed. During the winter, when the dairy cows were fed on

the dried hay from those fields, they ate from 25% to 30% less hay than

normal because their hunger was more readily satisfied with the nutrient

dense fodder. The farmer stated that he has a lot more hay left in the

barn than is normal for this late in the winter.

POULTRY

10% size increase in both roosters and hens.

10-20% increase in egg size after 7 months of use.

Lower feed costs: Birds gradually consume less feed per pound of

weight gained.

Lower costs in general: enhanced immunity to disease and

improved mortality rates, especially within the first month, translate into a

decreased need for antibiotics and growth hormones.

Increase in growth rate, bird and egg size, as well as reduction

in chemical processing translates into a higher market value and a greater

ROI.

The AO® Challenge

Commercial Agriculture

We are requesting facilitation of the following:

• Introduction of AO® to all available agricultural farmland

monthly in both conventional and organic farming.

• Introduction of AO® to all organic and non-organic

hydroponic agricultural operations.

• Introduction of AO® to all organic and non-organic livestock

and poultry producers.

Retail & Manufacturing:

Also, AO® is entering into all big box retail markets with our existing

line of ready-to-use, organic trace mineral plant growth aids

designed for the home gardener. (Please see attached brochure for

product description)

To facilitate efficient retail operations, AO® will be initiating

local manufacturing outlets. Not only will this reduce harmful

environmental pollutants associated with long distance land and

air travel, but will support our retail efforts and provide jobs to the

community. The more retail business guaranteed to us, the more

jobs we can provide to local citizens.

Also, AO®’s manufacturing process produces no externalities

or carbon outputs. AO® is a clean and simple process of water

reconstitution.

For better or worse, we base business decisions on costs. AO® solves cost issues while both

enhancing the environment as well as the nutritional value of the food we eat. It’s time for AO®!

Cost Benefit Analysis

AO Costs 2 gallons per acre

at $34 USD/gallon = $68/acre

Savings = $132/acre

Most farmers spend upwards of $200 per acre on fertilizing costs. Supplementing with AO® and reducing all other inputs by 10% to 20% within the

first year results in product costs that are no more per acre than current fertilizing costs. With AO® costing only $68/acre, farmers stand to generate

more profit in produce per acre, while spending the same or less on inputs just within their first year of supplementation. As you can see from the

illustration above, the cost savings would continue to double in the second year, and so on and so forth.

AO® is not only an overwhelming economic benefit but also a socially conscious way to live our lives.

First, there’s the environmental damage and impact on human health caused by chemical N-P-K fertilizers. Then, there’s the problems of overuse.

Excessive doses of some nutrients is a direct cause of other nutrient deficiencies.

And there’s the build-up of chemical Salts – because these fertilizers are, by definition, SALTS. Everyone knows salt is bad for agriculture.

On top of all this is the terrible toll that fertilizer manufacturing takes on the environment and the people who live near the factories. They pollute.

They’re dangerous. Remember the Bhopal fertilizer plant explosion in India in 1984? The Toulouse fertilizer plant explosion in France in 2001? On our

own shores, the worst accident involving fertilizer took place in 1947 in Texas, when 600 people were killed and 3,500 people were injured; it was

part of the testimony presented in July 2005 before the Senate Homeland Security Committee, which was studying national security risks.

Let’s look first at the ingredients in a balanced fertilizer: N-P-K.

Q: What are the harmful effects of chemical fertilizers; potassium fertilizers; nitrogen and phosphatic fertilizers?

Nitrogen (N), is the most common element in our atmosphere. It comes in different forms:

Elemental N, NO3- (Nitrate), NO2 (Nitrite), NH4+ (ionized Ammonia), NH3+ (poisonous

Ammonia gas) and others. Nitrogen is also an essential nutrient; all plants and animals need it

to survive. It’s essential to the Chlorophyll molecule. Too much, or the wrong kind of N, will

damage or kill these organisms. N is especially toxic to fish and invertebrates. It’s also toxic

to humans; people who depend on rural, private wells for their water source have one of

the higher rates of a condition called Methemoglobinemia, aka Blue Baby Syndrome, which

damages blood cells and is traced to high Nitrates.

Articles in Science Magazine submitted by the International Nitrogen Initiative last May inspired

‘Reactive Nitrogen: The Next Big Pollution Problem’ on the Wired Science website. It describes

a litany of problems and warns us, ‘Nitrogen pollution could eventually render entire stretches

of ocean dead, as is now the case in the Gulf of Mexico, where fertilizer runoff has created a

5,800 square mile dead zone.’

None of this is new. It’s just worse. And that’s just the N.

Gulf of Mexico - 5,800 square mile dead zone

Page 12: AO Presentation

Unlike Nitrogen, Phosphorus (P) and Potassium (K) are immobile in

Soil. Feldspars and Micas contain most of the Potassium in our Soil. K in

fertilizers is almost always applied as Potassium Chloride from mines in

Canada.

K dissolves in water. P does not. Instead, it binds to Soil particles and

stays put until some nice microbe comes along and un-locks it. Clay

Soils tend to keep the strongest grip on it; Sandy Soils are looser and let

it drizzle through.

Phosphate and Potash fertilizers don’t just raise the chemical P and K

levels; they also add damaging Soil Salts. And although most Soils in the

U.S. have perfectly adequate levels of Phosphorus and Potassium, and

even though they don’t need any more from your fertilizer, people use

them anyway. This is a problem because too much Phosphorus locks

other nutrients OUT of plants.

Iron and Zinc deficiencies are common in Soil over-loaded with non-

dissolving P. A fatal disease in livestock called ‘Grass Tetany’ -- a complex

condition linked to Mg deficiency in cows and other ruminants -- is

examined by French author André Voisin: ‘Excessive and repeated

dressings of Potassium fertilizers cause Magnesium deficiencies in plants,

particularly Grasses...’ It’s even bad for the animals that depend on them;

they too develop Mg deficiency.

Organic Phosphates provide energy for chemical reactions in plant and

animal growth and cell reactions. But too much and you end up with

growth out of control. When this happens in a lake, you find so much

growing going on that they run out of Oxygen; you end up with a lot of

dead plants and animals.

Phosphate pollution is so bad in some areas, people are pushing for

a ‘Phosphate Fertilizer Act’ to deal with it. Phosphorus would be legal

only if a Soil Test showed it was needed; only if you were planting new

Seed or installing new Sod; or if you’re a licensed greenskeeper at a golf

course.

You can see how hard fertilizer companies would push to block this law.

Their profits depend on getting people to use fertilizer ALL the time, not

just when they need it.

Making Phosphate fertilizer is no picnic, either. That’s a big problem in

Florida, where it’s a billion dollar industry. Phosphate fertilizer contains

radioactive lead and polonium.

Mine the Phosphate and you end up with radioactive by-products. As

environmentalist George C. Glasser points out, ‘Phosphate fertilizer

manufacturing and mining are not environment friendly operations...

People living near the fertilizer plants and mines, experience lung cancer

and leukemia rates that are double the state average.’

...continued.

Page 13: AO Presentation

Potassium (K) is essential for plant growth. K is generally not considered

an environmental problem; in parts of the world where high levels were

recorded, industrial waste (and not fertilizer) was blamed. Plants absorb K very

efficiently when it’s dissolved in the water in your Soil. As with P, too much K

in your Soil will chemically lock out other important micronutrients. Calcium

and Magnesium are 2 elements upstaged by too much K in Soil.

Now, we all know that Salt damages plants. A Chemical fertilizer is,

technically, a Chemical Salt: an Ionic Compound. It can be produced by the

reaction of an Acid and a Base; by combining a Cation (positively charged Ion)

and an Anion (negative charged Ion) or a Metal and an Acid.

A Salt gets its name from the Cation, followed by the name of the Anion. NaCl

- Sodium Chloride, aka Table Salt, is a Sodium Cation bonded to a Chloride

Anion. (NH4)2SO4 - Ammonium Sulfate, the preferred N fertilizer for Lawns

and Golf Courses, is an Ammonium Cation and a Sulfate Anion. Ca(NO3)2

- Calcium Nitrate, a Calcium Cation and a Nitrate Anion. CO(NH2)2 is Urea,

the most inexpensive Nitrogen fertilizer, made of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and

Anhydrous Ammonia (NH3) (Ammonia bonds directly with Acids to form

‘Ammonium Salts’).

That, in a very large nutshell, is the problem with chemical fertilizers.

It’s time for AOConventional Farming

The Incredible Economic Benefits of AO® Crop Fertility are Now Available from Agrarian Organics USA Ltd.Increase Nutrient Density. Restoring nutrient density to crops begins with restoring usable mineral values to soils. Minerals in an ionic form are

required for a plant to build mineral and vitamin content. With increased topsoil minerals, the content of plants can increase nutrient density

systemically. The complete primary, secondary and trace mineral package contained in AO® Crop not only contains chelated minerals, but

actually facilitates additional transfer of soil minerals into a form that plants can use. The result is a more nutritious crop, and a crop that is itself

healthier and better able to resist disease and weather stress.

Building Sustainable Soils

AO® Crop provides growers with the very best usage of

conventional fertilizers and the proven benefits of organic

based fertilizers.

• Remediates worn and damaged soil

• Sustains soils for longterm profitability and yields

• Decreases levels of required nitrogen inputs

• Increases levels of soil organic matter

• Increases systemic sugars & nutrient density

Lower Overall Input Costs

Many growers only consider the costs of fertilizers when making their fertilizer

buying decision. Conventional growers using generic NPK formulations based

on synthetic nitrogen find that a successful crop requires the use of fungicides

and herbicides. They automatically assume that mineral / microbial rich fertilizers

require the same array of agriculture chemicals required by conventional NPK

fertilizers. The arrays of agriculture chemicals used by most conventional

growers are simply often not necessary with AO® Crop. Agrarian Organics offer

a grower the opportunity to grow crops with less toxicity and less overall input

costs.

Science

Research has proven that synthetic nitrogen fertilizers slowly

work to destroy topsoil carbon fertility. AO® Crop fertilizers

work to provide crops with greater levels of energy using

chelated, ionic, carbon based fertility. The increased levels of

usable humic carbon sequestered in the soil as the result of use

of AO® Crop fertilizers rapidly restore and rebuild worn soils.

NPK Nutrients - Sustainable conventional farming

AO®Crop provides nonorganic farmers with the benefits of increased

sequestered or locked up NPK fertility along with proven micronutrient elements.

AO®Crop micro and ultra-trace elements enhance uptake speed by the crop

while fortifying and building soil humic values. The combination of chelated

primary, secondary and ultra-trace minerals, combined with millions of microbial

life forms builds soils while providing crops with the necessary nutrients to grow

to their full genetic potential.
