ENFOQUE DE LA REVISTA
Desde su creación en 1977, el objetivo fundamental de la Revista Agronomía Costarricense ha sido difundir la investigación agrícola realizada en Costa Rica o de interés en este país. La Revista es publicada dos veces al año e incluye los siguientes tipos de trabajos: artículos de investigación; notas técnicas, estas son avances, comunicaciones breves, o resultados paralelos de investigaciones en marcha; análisis y comentarios acerca de temas relevantes, generalmente solicitados a especialistas; revisiones de literatura exhaustivas sobre un tema específico; reseñas de libros; comentarios y opiniones sobre actividades de interés en el campo agropecuario; actualizaciones sobre actividades agropecuarias específicas.La Revista asume que los trabajos enviados para su posible publicación, son originales e inéditos, que los coautores realmente contribuyeron en su realización, están de acuerdo en la publicación y no los han enviado a otras revistas ni han sido publicados anteriormente.Una vez que el Consejo Editorial evalúa el mérito científico o técnico de los trabajos, estos son enviados a tres especialistas, quienes sugieren los cambios necesarios para que el trabajo sea aceptado y publicado o indican los motivos por los que debe ser rechazado.Para mayor cobertura la Revista se encuentra indizada en: LATINDEX (Sistema Regional de Información en línea para Revistas Científicas de América Latina, el Caribe, España y Portugal); CAB Abstracts; SIDALC (Sistema de Información y Documentación Agropecuaria de las Américas); INIS Atomindex, e-journals; DIALNET; DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals); REDALYC (Red de Revistas Científicas de América Latina y El Caribe, España y Portugal); SISAV; AGRIS; SciELO (Scientific electronic library on line); e-Revistas (Plataforma Open Access de Revistas Científicas Electrónicas Españolas y Latinoamericanas); PERIÓDICA (Índice de Revistas Latinoamericanas de Ciencias).
