Laguna del Chancho Es una de las lagunas mas famosas y mas requeridas de Copahue, posee un color gris plomo y una temperatura que oscila entre 27°C y 36°C. En esta se combinan baños de inmersión, auto aplicación de fango y exposición al sol, finalizando con una ducha de agua potable. Esta laguna tiene una mineralización fuerte, es utilizada para tratamientos osteo-articulares y dermatológicos. Laguna Sulfurosa Es hipertermal. Su temperatura promedio es de 85°C - 90° C, De ella se extraen aguas y fangos que son utilizados en cabinas de diferentes baños, ademas emana vapores sulfurosos que son utilizados en tratamientos respiratorios. Vapor El Vapor es el resultado de innumerables fumarolas naturales que son utilizadas para tratar enfermedades respiratorias, como: tos espasmodica asociada, rinofaringitis, asma, bronquitis, etc. Fango El Fango, madura naturalmente en el fondo de las lagunas. Es utilizado para tratar afecciones dermatológicas como: psoriasis, dermatitis, eczemas, procesos artrosicos, enfermedades neurológicas, tendinopatías, etc. THE THERMAL COMPLEX IN COPAHUE: Copahue is the most important thermal centre in the country. It occupies a glacial basing whose bottom in 1920 m height. Originally,this area had an important number of thermal manifestations such as a significant number of hot springs, fumaroles and vents and several small ponds all of which resulted from the natural activity of Copahue volcano. The fumaroles and hot springs mineralize the soi, the melting waters and mud giving birth to the different thermal resources which are difficult to find anywhere else on the planet There are also algae, muds and steams. Facts to be considered: the thermal treatments are healthy but they also have counter effects. So it is advisable to see a doctor before visiting the therms. Thermal Resources: - Green Lagoon: It is about 1.20 meters deep, it is composed by sulphur, calcium and iron, and microscopic algae which give it a particular greenish colour. Its tempeature varies from 24° C to 30°C. This water is used in spa treatment techniques and dermathology because it has antibacterial, softening and soothing properties. - Algae Lagoon: It is a lagoon where thermophilic algae develop naturally. These algae have antibacterial, softening, anti-congestion, anti-imflamatory and anti-allergic properties. - Pig Lagoon: It is the most famous lagoon in Copahue. It contains a high rate of minerals. It has a grayish mud at the bottom. This lagoon of natural origin is prescribed together with immersion baths, mud self-application and sun exposure. Finally a fresh water shower ends the circuit. - Sulphurous Lake: It is hyper thermal. The average temperature is between 85°C - 90°C.
