Hace más de diez siglos que los árabes encauzaron

parte de las aguas del río Guadalmina para usarla en

el riego de sus huertas y alquerías. La actual acequia

que se asienta sobre esa antigua conducción, ha sido

adaptada para que hoy usted pueda disfrutarla. Esta

ruta le permitirá seguir el camino del agua y cruzar

sobre el cañón de las angosturas. Le proponemos un

paseo por el bosque de ribera mediterráneo. Prepáre-

se para seguir el camino del agua, sentir su frescura,

oler la tierra mojada, escuchar el canto de las aves y

evadirse en plena naturaleza

More than ten centuries ago, the Arabs channelled

part of the waters of the Guadalmina River to supply

farmhouses and irrigate vegetable gardens. The cur-

rent acequia ( irrigation stream ) has been built on

top of the old one, and it has been adapted so that you

can enjoy walking along it. Follow the camino del

agua ( water trail ) to a suspension bridge over the

Angosturas canyon. Be ready to feel the freshness of

the water, smell the wet soil, hear the birds singing and

unwind surrounded by the Mediterranean riverbank
