ourselves to celebrate the mysteries, let us call to mind our sins.

(Yo confieso) I confess to almighty God, and to you, my brothers and sisters, that I have sinned through my own fault in my thoughts and in my words, in what I have done, and in what I have failed to do; and I ask blessed Mary, ever virgin, all the angels and saints, and you , my brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the Lord our God.

May almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and bring us to everlasting life.

Father,you have made the bond of marriage aholy mystery, a symbol of Christ’s love for his Church. Hear our prayers for ____ and _____. With faith in you and in each other they pledge their love today. May their lives always bear witness to the reality of that love.

Primera LecturaLectura del libro de Tobías 8, 5- 10

La noche de su boda, Tobías se levantó y le dijo a Sara: “¡Levántate, hermana! Supliquemos al Señor, nuestro Dios, que tenga misericordia de nosotros y nos proteja”. Se levantó Sara y comenzaron a suplicar al Señor que los protegiera, diciendo: “Bendito seas, Dios de nuestros padres y bendito sea tu nombre por los siglos de los siglos. Que te bendigan los cielos y todas tus creaturas por los siglos de los siglos. Tú creaste a Adán y le diste a Eva como ayuda y apoyo, y de ambos procede todo el género humano. Tú dijiste: ‘No es bueno que el hombre esté solo. Voy a hacer a alguien como él, para que lo ayude’ ”.

Segunda LecturaLectura De la carta del apóstol san Pablo a los Colosenses3, 12-17

Hermanos: Puesto que Dios los ha elegido a ustedes, los ha con-  sagrado a él y les ha dado su amor, sean compasivos, magnánimos, humildes, afables y pacientes. Sopórtense mutuamente y perdónense cuando tengan quejas contra otro, como el Señor los ha perdonado a ustedes. Y sobre todas estas virtudes, tengan amor, que es el vínculo de la perfecta unión.

Que en sus corazones reine la paz de Cristo, esa paz a la que han sido llamados como miembros de un solo cuerpo. Finalmente, sean agradecidos.

Que la palabra de Cristo habite en ustedes con toda su riqueza. Enséñense y aconséjense unos a otros lo mejor que sepan. IntroductionBishop: han venido aquí, para que el Señor,

ante el ministro de la iglesia y ante esta comunidad cristiana consagre con su sello su amor. Este amor Cristo lo bendice abundantemente, y con su nuevo Sacramento, a ustedes a quienes por el bautismo, ya santificado, los va a enriquecer y a dar fuerza para que se guarden siempre mutua fidelidad y puedan cumplir las demás obligaciones del matrimonio. 

Statement of IntentionsObispo: ____ y _____, Han venido aquí a

contraer matrimonio por su libre y plena voluntad, sin que nada ni nadie los obligue?

Bishop: Let us pray to the Lord for _____ and ____ who came to God’s altar at the beginning of their married life so that they may always be united in love for each other as now they share in the body and blood of Christ.

All pray silently for a short while.Bishop extends his hands and says the following:

Bishop: Holy Father, you created mankind in your own image and made man and woman to be joined as husband and wife in union of body and heart and so fulfill their mission in this world.Father, to reveal the plan of your love, you made the union of husband and wife an image of the covenant between you and your people. In the fulfillment of this sacrament, the marriage of Christian man and woman is a sign of the marriage between Christ and the Church. Father, stretch out your hand, and bless

Lord, grant that as they begin to live this sacrament they may share with each other the gifts of your love and become one in heart and mind as witnesses to your presence in their marriage.
