I ntrod ucci6n En Octubre de 2.002, EXPALUM comienza su andadura en el mercado de la persiana, fabricando

varies modelos de lama y caj6n de aluminio, para lo cual ya contaba con la experiencia que le daban los 20 arias que posefa su empresa matriz Cristales y Persianas Lopez, S.L en este mundo tan complejo.

Desde 1995, nuestros perfilados de lamas y cajones, estan presente en todas las firmas del sector de la persiana en Espana y Portugal. Sin embargo, nuestro objetivo siempre ha sido ampliar nuestro mercado a todo el mundo.

Desde entonces, hemos ariadido dos empresa,s mas a la comparifa: en 2.009 EXPALUM ARGENTINA y un aria despues EXPALUM BRASIL. Estas dos delegaciones nos permiten distribuir con rapidez en America del Sur y los pafses del Caribe. Tambien, contamos con distribuidores directos en China, Mexico, Tunez y Serbia.

Actualmente, EXPALUM es una comparifa global que vende sus productos en mas de 60 pafses y que genera aproximadamente el 70% de sus ventas fuera de Espana.

Introduction In October 2002, EXPALUM began its journey in the blinds market, manufacturing a variety of

models of slats and aluminium boxes, building on the 20-year expertise of its founder and partner Cristales y Persianas L6pez, S.L in this complex field.

Since 1995, our slats and boxes have been sold by all firms in the Spanish and Portuguese blinds markets. However, our goal has always been to expand to markets around the world.

Since then, we have added two more companies to the group: in 2009, EXPALUM ARGENTINA, and one year later, EXPALUM BRAZIL. These two branches allow us to distribute our products quickly around South American and the Caribbean. We also have direct distributors in China, Mexico, Tunisia and Serbia.

EXPALUM is now a global company that sells its products in more than 60 countries, with approximately 70% of sales coming from outside Spain.

The quality of our services and products are the result of the most cutting-edge technology available and the commitment of all our staff.

Baja Emisivo - Low Emissivity - Faible Emissivite

Los revestimientos de pintura de baja emisividad se aplican a superficies de aluminio, situadas en el interior de edificios, con elfin de mejorar la estabilidad termica de los mismos.

Esta pintura actua como barrera termica, impidiendo la salida de calor. Este fen6meno se consigue reduciendo la emisividad del revestimiento, es decir, la capacidad de emisi6n de energia propia del material. La baja emisividad produce una alta reflectancia del calor impidiendo que este se escape.

Low emissivity paint is applied to aluminium surface, for interior use, to improve the thermal stability.

This Paint acts as a thermal barrier avoiding heat transfer. We get this effect by reducing the emissivity of the material, in other words, the own energy emission capacity of the material. Low emissivity yields high reflectance avoiding energy losses.

Les revetements de peinture a faible emissivite s'appliquent sur la surface d'aluminium, situes a l'interieur des batiments, pour ameliorer la stabilite thermique de ces derniers.

Cette peinture a un comportement de barriere thermique empechant la perte de chaleur. Ce phenomene s'obtient en reduisant l'emissivite du revetement, c'est-a-dire, en reduisant sa capacite propre a emettre de l'energie. La faible emissivite augmente systematiquement la reflectivite energetique ce qui va empecher la perte de chaleur.

Los revestimientos de pintura ALUTHERM se aplican a superficies de aluminio, situadas en el exterior de edificios, con el fin de reflejar la radiaci6n solar en colores oscuros.

Estas pinturas actuan coma si fueran blancas, reduciendo asf la temperatura de la superficie y aumentando el aislamiento termico. De esta forma, ademas de disminuir el consume energetico en los edificios, conseguimos reducir las tensiones termicas del aluminio aumentando la vida del mismo.

ALUTHERM paint is applied to aluminum surfaces, for exterior use, to reflect solar energy in dark col ors.

It acts as a white color coat, by reducing the surface temperature and increasing thermal isolation. So, low absorption paint reduces thermal stresses of the surface, thereby increasing the durability of the aluminum. In addition, it also decreases the air condition requirement.

Ces peintures foncees ant le meme comportement que les peintures claires, en d'autres mots, une temperature en surface plus faible et une isolation thermique augmentee. De cette maniere, en plus de reduire la consommation energetique des edifices, nous reduisons les tensions thermique interne a !'aluminium ce qui augmente sa duree de vie dans un memetemps.

The duration of the guarantee starts from the delivery. The coated coil or manufactured products should be in accordance with Alumasa specifications, the cured coating should have thickness of 22 microns.

The coated coils are corrosion resistant, with correct adherence, do not have cracks and are abrasion resistant.

We will joint the quality certificates of our aluminium coils suppliers upon request.

We agree that there is an evolution in the aspect, colour and gloss of the coating . This evolution can occur slowly and progressively respecting the market standards.

We join a table with the evolution colour and gloss depending of the coatings used :

- High durability polyester (HOP)

- Polyurethane (PUER)

-PVDF

We have classified the data on 2 climatic zones :

-Zone A: >45° north latitude >45° south latitude:

Scandinavia, Iceland, United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, etc.

-Zone B: between 15° latitude north or between 45° and 30° south:

France, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece and Turkey, etc.

The conditions for the fulfilment of the guarantee are:

- The products once delivered should be stored in a covered warehouse.

- The handling should be appropiariated for the product.

- The coated products once installed should be kept clean to maintain the color and avoid degradation of the product.

-Aluminium contact with non-compatible metals should be avoided.

The guarantee will be void in these cases:

- Incorrect handling, manufacturing that implies removal of the coating surface (cuts, drills, bending radiuses that are inferior to the thickness of the support).

- Incorrect storage, treatment and handling in manufacturing process, Importer maintenance and cleaning.

- Products located within 250 m. of shoreline. It is recommended to watch products installed near of the seashore. Winds along sand and salt hit the coated surface thus producing abrasion. After a short period of time the coating thickness is reduced then oxidation of metal takes place. (Guarantee void).

- Product installed within 250 m. of chemical industries or similar industries that produce dangerous products leading to corrosion. For all coated product their final location is important. Due to the aggressiveness of chemical substances, coated products might be damaged by condensation or spraying. (Void guarantee). This limitation is not valid for PVDF.

Aggressive cleaners, adhesive products and other chemical products should not be used on the coated products during installation or cleaning. These products might damage the coating and void the guarantee.

The guarantee does not cover technical stops, loss of contracts and loss of reputation.

Qu'est-ce que le systeme de moteurs EX Drive?

Es un nuevo sistema de accionamiento para persianas y proteccion solar. Son motores de baja tensi6n (12 V) alimentados por baterias portatiles recargables. Sin conexion a red electrica, proporcionando un ahorro al usuario final ya que no hay gastos de conexion electrica. Tiene la opcion de carga solar adicional contribuyendo al ahorro de energia.

The EX Drive System is a completely new drive system for roller shutters and sun shading. All motors are low voltaje (12 V) and supplied with power by portable, rechargeable battery controllers. The installation does NOT require connection to the mains power supply. The EX Drive System therefore provides a saving to the end-user as there are no additional expenses for electric installation {wiring), offering an economic alternative to traditional electric devices.

Le systeme motorisation EX est un systeme d'entrainement completement nouveau pour volets roulants et protection solaire. Tousles moteurs sont en basse tension (12 V) et alimentes par batterie rechargeable. L'installation ne necessite pas de connexion au reseau electrique. Le systeme d'entrainement EX permet done une economie pour l'utilisateur final comme ii n'y a pas de frais supplementaires lies a !'installation electrique {cablage), offrant une alternative economique aux moteurs electriques traditionnels.

Los motores estan alimentados por medio del sistema de bateria recargable E-Port que se coloca en su placa de pared. Esta bateria es a su vez el Controlador que maneja las funciones del motor. La bateria puede cargarse de dos maneras; 1.- Conectandola a la red mediante el adaptador de corriente AC. 2.- La placa de pared que soporta el Controlador puede ir conectada a la corriente electrica por el cargador AC, y cargar la bateria del Controlador cada vez que se coloque en ella. El Controlador es portatil y puede ser usado para manejar multiples persianas colocandolo en cada una de las placas de pared de estas persianas.

Motors are generally operated with the rechargeable battery controller E-Port that are fixed to the wall with a plate. The battery acts as a controller.The battery can be charged in two ways: 1.- By connecting the battery to an electrical outlet with a AC adaptor. 2.- The wall plate holding the controller can be connected to the electric main through the AC charger and recharge the battery every time the battery is placed in the wall plate. As the E-Port controller is portable, multiple shutters can be operated with one single controller by simply inserting it into the wall plate of the shutter that is intended to be used.

Les moteurs fonctionnent avec de piles rechargeables E-Port qui sont fixees au mur avec une plaque base.Les batteries font la fonctionne de controleur du moteur. Les piles se chargent de deux manieres: 1. En branchant la pile a une prise electrique avec un adaptateur AC. 2. La plaque murale peut etre branchee au reseaux electrique par le adaptateur AC et charger la pile a chaque fois que la pile est placee sur la plaque murale. Com me le controleur E-Port est portable, plusieurs volets etre operes avec un seul controleur simplement en l'inserant dans la plaque murale du volet que nous voulons operer.

A continuaci6n se introduce en las guias situadas en la placa de contenci6n y con un tornillo se fija. Este tornillo a su vez impide el desplazamiento de la mosquitera en la guia de las placas. En caso de tener que extraer la mosquitera, basta con retirar el terminal de la mosquitera y dicho tomillo. Both of them present limits due to the thermal insulation (specifically the metals) and to the mechanicals strength (concerningthe PVC). EX-DUERO is, instead, an absolutely innovative and cost-effective aluminium-PVC roller shutter, when compared to the traditional ones. Its main feature is to reduce the waste of resources and energy.

La diferencia entre EX-DU ERO y una persiana tradicional de aluminio o acero consiste en la estructura del perfil. Con el fin de definir mejor esta diferencia, se debe tener en cuenta el concepto de puente termico en un edificio. Se define un puente termico como la parte de la estructura de un edificio que tiene caracteristicas termicas significativamente diferentes en comparaci6n con las aledaiias. En particular, un puente termico permite que el calor fluya mas rapido. Por lo tanto, el puente termico tiene un efecto negative sobre el aislamiento de un edificio, ya que constituye un escape privilegiado para los intercambios de calor hacia y desde el interior. En el caso de la persiana de aluminio o acero, hay una continuidad del puente termico debido a la estructura del perfil, hecho enteramente de metal.

The difference between EX-DU ERO and a traditional Steel or aluminium roller shutter consists in the structure of the profile. In order to better define this diversity, it should be taken into account the concept of thermal bridge in a building. It is defined a thermal bridge the part of the structure of a building which has significantly different thermal characteristics compared to the surrounding ones. In particular, a thermal bridge allows heat faster flows. Therefore, the thermal bridge has a negative effect on the insulation of a building because it constitutes a privileged escape for heat exchanges to and from the outside. In the case of the aluminium or steel roller shutter, there is a continuity of the thermal bridge due to the structure of the profile, made entirely of metal.

La difference entre EX-DU ERO et un volet traditionnel en acier ou en aluminium reside dans la structure du profil. Afin de mieux definir cette difference, on doit integrer de la notion de pont thermique dans un batiment. Le pont thermique se definit comme la partie de la structure d'un batiment qui a des caracteristiques thermiques sensiblement differentes en comparaison de ceux qui l'entourent. Concretement, un pont thermique accentue le flux de chaleur plus rapidement. En consequence, le pont thermique a un effet negatif sur l'isolement d'un batiment, car ii constitue une voie d'echappement. Dans pour les echanges de chaleur vers et depuis l'exterieur. Dans le cas d'un volet en acier ou en aluminium, ii y a une continuite du pont thermique en raison de la structure du profil fait entierement de metal.

LA ESTRUCTURA - THE STRUCTURE - LA STRUCTURE EX-DUERO propane una lama para persianas formada por el acoplamiento de las dos secciones realizadas en diferentes materiales, el perfil de PVC y el perfil de aluminio rellenos de espuma aislante. El sistema de acoplamiento especial entre las dos caras de la lama detiene la conductividad termica del metal. Asi, gracias al aluminio colocado en la cara exterior y al PVC, colocado en el interior, la lama crea una interrupci6n de la transferencia de calor entre el exterior yel interior.

Con la persiana EX-DUERO, la conductividad termica del elemento de aluminio se interrumpe en los puntos de la conexi6n con el perfil de PVC. Tenemos, por tanto, una persiana enrollable que crea una interrupci6n del puente termico de la fachada, lo que reduce considerablemente la transmitancia termica.

EX-DUERO proposes a slat for roller shutters formed by the coupling of the two sections made in different materials, the PVC profile and the aluminium profile, filled with insulating foam. The special coupling system between the two faces of the slat stops the thermal conductivity of the metal. So, thanks to aluminium, positioned outside and to the PVC, placed inside, the slat creates a break of the heat transfer between the outside and the inside.

With the EX-DUERO roller shutter, the thermal conductivity of the aluminium element is interrupted at the points of the connection with the PVC profile. We would, therefore, have a roller shutter that creates an interruption of the thermal bridge of the facade, considerably reducing the thermal transmittance.

EX-DUERO propose une lame pour valets roulants fabriquee par couplage de deux sections de differents materiaux, un profil de PVC et un profil d'aluminium rempli de mousse isolante. Le systeme d'attachement special entre les deux faces de la lame arrete la conductivite thermique du metal. Ainsi, grace a l'aluminium, place a l'exterieur et au PVC, place a l'interieur, la lame cree une barriere au transfert de chaleur entre l'exterieur et l'interieur.

Avec le volet EX-DUERO la conductivite thermique de !'aluminium est arrete sur les points d'attaches du profil PVC. Nous avons done une lame qui a une rupture du pont thermique qui permet une rupture du transfert de chaleur ce qui reduit considerablement la transmittance thermique.

INVIERNO

La presencia de la persiana EXD U ERO asegura, durante las temporadas de invierno, una menor dispersion de calor, ya que entre el perfil de PVC (en el interior) y el perfil de aluminio (exterior) hay una interrupcion del puente termico, lo que permite un ahorro considerable deenergia.

VERANO

Si durante el invierno, EX-DUERO asegura menos dispersion de calor, en verano, esta persiana enrollable, gracias a la interrupcion de la conductividad del metal de la parte exterior, fuertemente calentado par el sol, el perfil de PVC (situado en el interior) es capaz de mantener temperaturas mas bajas, par tanto, no se transmite el calor dentro de la casa. De esta manera, la temperatura interna se mantendra mas baja, y par consiguiente, en el caso del aire acondicionado, habra un ahorro de energia.

WINTER

The presence of the EX-DUERO roller shutter ensures, during the Winter seasons, a lower heat dispersion, as between the PVC profile (inside) and aluminium profile (outside) there is an interruption of the heat continuity, allowing considerable energy savings.

SUMMER

If during Winter time, therefore, EXD U ERO ensures less heat dispersion, in summer, this roler shutter, thanks to the interruption of the conductivity of the metal from the outer part, strongly heated by the sun, the PVC profile (situated on the inside) is able to maintain lower temperaturas, thus not transmitting the heat inside the house. This way, the internal temperatura will remain lower, consequently, in the case of air conditioning, it will require a minor energy consume.

HIVER

En hiver la presence des lames EXDUERO assure, une dispersion de chaleur plus faible, car entre le profil de PVC (a l'interieur) et le profil d'aluminium (exterieur) ii existe une interruption de la continuite thermique, ce qui permet des economies d'energie considerables.

ETE Pendant la saison d'hiver, EXDUERO assure mains dispersion de chaleur. En ete ce valet roulant, grace a l'arret de la conductivite du metal de l'exterieur du valet, qui est chauffee fortement par le soleil, le profil de PVC (situe a l'interieur) est capable de maintenir des temperatures plus basses, done ne transmettant pas de chaleur vers l'interieur de la maison. De cette maniere, la temperature interne sera plus base, en consequence, dans le cas de la climatisation, necessitera une consommation d'energie plus faible.

Thermal insulation is therefore, a source of energy saving. EX-DUERO's thermal insulation capacity of is expected to be 75% greater compared to that of a normal aluminum roller shutter. In fact, in buildings without a screen protection system, about 60% of solar heat will enter. Traditional protection systems reduce the incidence of solar radiation of about 30%. L'isolation thermique est par consequent une source d'economies d'energie. La capacite d'isolation thermique de EXDUERO est de plus de 75% en comparaison avec celle d'un valet roulant en aluminium. En fait dans les batiments sans un systeme de protection solaire, environ 60% de la chaleur solaire entre dans le batiment.
