Biografia de Federico Garcia Lorca
Federico García Lorca nació el 5 de junio de 1898 entre Víznar y Alfacar. Fue un poeta, dramaturgo y prosista
español, también conocido por su destreza en muchas otras artes. Adscrito a la llamada Generación del 27, es el
poeta de mayor influencia y popularidad de la literatura española del siglo XX. Como dramaturgo, se le considera
una de las cimas del teatro español del siglo XX, junto con Valle-Inclán y Buero Vallejo.
Murió ejecutado tras la sublevación militar de la Guerra Civil Española, por su afinidad con el Frente Popular y
por ser abiertamente homosexual.
Pasaremos dos días en Granada, jugando
y aprendiendo sobre Federico García
Lorca.
Visitaremos los lugares más importantes de
su vida, como su residencia de verano o su
lugar de nacimiento, y mientras visitamos
esos lugares, realizaremos una gymkhana
y un juego de preguntas y respuestas, para
comprobar vuestros conocimientos.

Biography of Federico Garcia Lorca
Federico Garcia Lorca was born on June 5, 1898 between Viznar and Alfacar. He was a poet, playwright and prose writer Spanish, also known for his skill in many arts. Assigned to the Generation of 27, is the most influential poet and popularity of the twentieth century Spanish literature. As a playwright, he is considered one of the pinnacles of twentiethcentury Spanish theater, along with Valle-Inclan and Buero Vallejo. Was executed after the military uprising of the Spanish Civil War, by its affinity with thePopular Front for being openly gay.
We will spend two days in Granada, playing
and learning about Federico García Lorca.
We will visit some of the most important
places on his life, like his summer
residence, or his birthplace, and while we
visit this places, we go to realize a
gymkhana and a question answer game, to
check your knowledge.

Biografía
Federico García Lorca nació el 5 de Junio en 1898,
en Fuente Vaqueros. Estudió en la Universidad de
Granada y después terminó sus estudios en La
Residencia de Estudiantes de Madrid. Perteneció a
la Generación del 27, dónde se hizo a migo de
Manuel de Falla y de Antonio Machado. Unos
años más tarde emigró a Nueva York, donde
escribió “Poeta en Nueva York” y fundó un grupo
de teatro llamado “La Barraca”. Finalmente volvió
a España siendo arrestado y fusilado por sus
ideales, demasiado liberales para la época.

El primer día, visitaremos los pueblos más
famosos dónde vivió Lorca.
Iremos a Valderrubia para visitar la “Casa de
Valderrubia” dónde el poeta vivió con su familia
cuando era un niño. In esta casa se inspiró para
escribir “La casa de Bernarda Alba”.
Después, iremos a Fuente Vaqueros, el pueblo
natal del poeta, dónde veremos “La Casa-‐Museo
de Lorca” y el “Centro de estudios Lorquianos”.

Estaremos en el
albergue juvenil Inturjoven Granada.
El segundo día, iremos al Parque de Federico
García Lorca y a “La Huerta de San Vicente”,
ambos situados en Granada. Aquí haremos
un juego llamado “Poem Hunt” y una
pequeña representación de una de sus
principales obras. Y, después de comer,
iremos a Alfacar para ver el Parque de Lorca.
Recomendaciones No olvidar:
• Ropa cómoda y calzado apropiado.
• Bocadillos para el primer día (Desayuno y almuerzo).

Biography
García lorca was born on 5 June 1898, in Fuente
Vaqueros.
He studied at the university of Granada and later
at the “Residencia de Estudiantes” in Madrid. He
belonged to “Generación del 27” and he had a
friendship relation with Manuel de Falla and
Antonio Machado. Few years later he went to New
York where he wrote “Poeta en Nueva York” and
cover a theatre group called “La Barraca”. Then he
came back to Spain and was arrested and

The first day, we are going to visit the most
famous villages where Lorca lived.
First, we are going to Valderrubia to visit the
“Casa de Valderrubia” where he lived when he was
a boy with his family. In that house, he was
inspired to write “La casa de Bernarda Alba”.
Later, we are going to Fuente Vaqueros, the born
village of the poet, where we’ll see the “Casa-‐
Museo” of Lorca and the “Centro de estudios

Lorquianos”. We will be in a youth hostel called
“Inturjoven Granada”.
The second day, we are going to see the Park of
Federico García Lorca, and “La Huerta de San
Vicente” in Granada, and here, we are going to do
a game called “Poet Hunt”. And, after eating, we
are going to Alfacar to see the Lorca Park.
Recommendations Don’t forget:
• Comfortable clothing and footwear.
• Sandwiches for the first day. (Breakfast and Lunch)

Parque del AlbaycínLos Jardines del Triunfo en Granada fueron en la época árabe un extenso cementerio, fundado en el s. XIII. El cementerio estaba ceñido por una fuerte muralla y defendido a la entrada de cada uno de los caminos de acceso a la población por puertas con torres. Por un lado el Triunfo se unía el recinto a las fortificaciones del Albaycín y, por el otro, enlazaba con el exterior de Granada.
Su principal atractivo turisitico es su hermosa
fuente.

Tipología: arquitectura religiosa (iglesia)
Localización: Albayzín (Granada)
Breve descripción:la iglesia se levantó sobre una mezquita anterior, es la mas antigua de las iglesias mudéjares granadinas.
Su situación es magnifica en el centro del Albayzín, dando a una
plaza con una de las mejores vistas a Sierra Nevada,el
Generalife ,la Alhambra con sus
torres alineadas,y la vega de Granada.

Albaycín Garden
The Triunfo gardens in Granada were a large Arab cemetery,founded in the s. XIII. The cemetery was
girded by a strong wall and stood at the entrance of each of the access roads to the populationby gates and
towers. On the one hand the Triunfo joined the site to the fortifications of the Albaicin and the other, linked
with the outside ofGranada.
Its main attraction is his beautiful fountain.
