Notice that the endings are added to the infinitive ESTAR!

Ejemplos del Futuro:

Mañana estaré en Costa Rica. – Tomorrow I will be in Costa Rica.

Ellos estarán tristes después de la película.– They will be sad after the movie.

Nosotros estaremos bailando en la fiesta. – We will be dancing at the party.

This PAST tense form is used for specific events in the past.

Note: these have a definite period of time.

This PAST tense form is used for ongoing events in the past.(Dates, times, descriptions of how things USED to be)

Yo estaba durmiendo cuando sonó el teléfono. – I was sleeping when the phone rang.

Note: these describe how things used to be or give a duration of time in the past.
