• En IPv6:– La configuración es automática.
– Analizaremos la conectividad LAN para direcciones locales de enlace autoconfiguradas.
– Posteriormente podemos añadir más direcciones (manual o automaticamente) y probar la conectividad.
– Para comprobar la conectividad IPv6 se usa:– ping6 en Ubuntu-Linux. Indicando el interface a utilizar.
– ping6 en Windows XP. Indicando el número de interface tras %.
– ping -6 en Windows 7.

• El problema es el Firewall de Windows 7.
• Solución: Debemos desactivar el firewall en Windows 7 o incorporar una regla para poder hacer ping. Lo hacemos y volvemos a probar, esta vez con éxito.

• Conclusiones:– La conectividad es sencilla y total.
– La pila dual de los SO permite la comunicación, aunque la infraestructura no sea IPv6 pura (switch IPv4).
– Las direcciones locales de enlace (fe80::) no son enrutables fuera de nuestra LAN.
– Para probar la conectividad fuera de nuestra LAN o enrutar direcciones globales, debemos configurar más direcciones IPv6, de forma manual o mediante servidores (dhcpv6) o routers preparados para ello.
